Former Reagan adviser endorses Obama

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/10/31/ken-duberstein.jpg caption="Duberstein is pulling for Obama."]

(CNN) - Former Reagan chief of staff Ken Duberstein told CNN's Fareed Zakaria this week he intends to vote for Democrat Barack Obama on Tuesday.

Duberstein said he was influenced by another prominent Reagan official – Colin Powell – in his decision.

"Well let's put it this way – I think Colin Powell's decision is in fact the good housekeeping seal of approval on Barack Obama."

Powell served as national security advisor to Reagan during Duberstein's tenure as chief of staff.

Duberstein spoke with Zakaria about his final days in the Reagan White House. The Reagan official, along with Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Carter National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, also discussed the transition process to a new administration.

Watch the full discussion on the next administration this Sunday at 1 p.m. on Fareed Zakaria GPS.

    Bill:

He sold his "soul," not his "sole."

What, pray tell, do you believe he received in exchange? Perhaps a new pair of shoes?

If Reagan were alive... he would vote for Obama too. I'm a conservative to the core and truly believe that is what he would have done.

I am an Independent who was an undecided voter until today. After watching Obama's ad this week and now two prominent Republican endorsements, I will certainly be voting Obama!

    To Richard Spomer:

You are exactly what's wrong with this country.......your racism just reeks off the page. Using the word "spook" about one of the smartest, and most decent men this country has ever seen is just shameful. You are the one who should leave our country, the one that was founded on freedom and equality for all people!!!

I honestly don't see how anyone would want to vote for McCain and Palin. She's fake and has an irritating accent that not even Alaskan. She must have picked it up some time between the five colleges she went to. JM is just the creepiest old guy with yellow teeth perfect for Halloween and his wife could be the skeleton popping out of the closet. (Where is her upper lip by the way – GEESH)

Not only that, JM has run a pathetic campaign. Now, I will not lie like most and say he lost my vote, cause he never had it. But I would respect him more if he gave me reason to. The fact is, if he wasn't constantly watching every little thing Barack Obama did, he wouldn't have any material. He is a LOSER- and Sarah Palin needs to beat it with those crappy clothes. She tries to act hard, saying she is a pitbull and all, but what I can't understand is how does she have a degree in journalism and was once a journalist and can't give decent interviews. She should of just stayed fake and wore the clothes that didn't belong to her. POSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does CNN allow racist drivel (Richard A. Spomer) on its comment boards? Disgusting.

C'mon, America. STEP IT UP! We need the SMART GUYS! Palin had NO BUSINESS being on a National Ticket. More and More Americans are realizing that the best ticket is OBAMA /BIDEN. LET'S GET the VOTE OUT STRONG FOR OBAMA!

It's amazing how the more urbane, intellectual Republicans (David Brooks, Peggy Noonan) see EXACTLY what the rest of the country sees in Obama while the truculent visigoths of the party (Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity) do not... Interesting.
