McCain to appear on SNL this weekend

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (CNN) - Mandatory stops on the GOP campaign trail this year: Pennsylvania. Florida. Saturday Night Live.

Two weeks after running mate Sarah Palin made an appearance on the late-night comedy show, a McCain campaign aide tells CNN that the Republican presidential nominee will appear on the NBC program tomorrow night.

The Arizona senator has appeared on the show several times over the years.

McCain's most memorable appearance on the long running show was in October 2002, when he hosted the program for a night: In a spoof commercial hawking an album called "McCain Sings Streisand," sang several of the Democratic loyalist's songs.

When a campaign needs to resort to the likes of Joe the plumber, ad nauseum, and where SNL might garner more votes than attendees at a rally, McCain has really hit the skids. Sad. But, what do you expect when he has caved in to the right wing whackos? Heaven help us if he wins the presidency.

whaa whaa whaa! My friend's (Cons) Stop the whining and crying. Don't blame us Dems, that your candidate is a loser and out of touch and your VP is a bigger moron than GWB. have her trot out her retart baby at the next campaign stop, I am sure it's worth one or two additional votes from you compasionate conservatives.

Does he not have anything better to do? It seems like these appearances and spoofs on themselves is not productive for the campaign.

    No Watching...not Interested....

BTW, the reason we had tunned to watch the VP debate was to see Sarah making a fool out of herself- DUMB NUT!. Her answers were memorized, it is amazing, I think I can do a better job running as a VP....

It's possible he could lose his home state, though pretty unlikely. Though it'll probably not be an overwhelming victory for him AZ though.

We need overwhelming Democratic ticket victories at all levels to send a unified message to all America (and the Republicans in particular) that bombastic messages of hate, distortions and lies will no longer be accepted in political campaigns.
Maybe, then in future, we can have (all) contestants from all parties focusing upon substantive issues that affect our lives.
IF WE VOTE LOUD ENOUGH, MAYBE WE WILL BE HEARD.THE BEST WAY TO SHUT DOWN THE GOP TACTICS IS TO MAKE SURE YOU AND EVERYONE YOU KNOW VOTES 100% DEMOCRATIC. GET OUT THE VOTE; TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED; IRRESPECTIVE OF THE POLLS.

My vote is NOT FOR SALE – AT ANY PRICE.

But if yours is, here's some FACTS to all who love the Obama Tax Plan.

I went to his website and used the "savings calculator". Some quick numbers for you…

My wife and I combined make about 100K. We no longer have dependents, and we have a mortgage. Popped those numbers into his calculator – I save $1800.

So let's see… averaged out, me and my wife each get a raise of 42 cents an hour.

    YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

So if my vote was for sale… which IT IS NOT… we'd get an extra Domino's pizza (no toppings) every week!

Do the math people. What would you rather have – a cheese pizza or your job?
    -------------------------------

Wow really? We're suppose to have sympathy for you because you both make 6 figures?? Go cry me a river.

McCain will need another career soon. Maybe it's showbiz as a comedian or jokster. Following the footsteps of Huckster. Palin has already made herself look silly on the show. Just remember, Palin said God's will, will be done on election day. So McCain and Palin need to look to other means of employment since they will be blown out of this election, by God;s will.

    SNL PUTS DAGGER IN McCAIN!!!

That will be the mantra by the GOP after Obama beats McCain on November 4. They're lining up the excuses now!

First, Bush got him due to his successful administration's antics, then Caribou Barbie piled on the misery and now SNL!!!

When it's all done, then maybe McCain can explain how he qualified for flight school given his shoddy record at the Academy?!

Does anyone know when Chris Matthews from MSNBC actually made out?
I'm glad to see by listening to Matthews that its really love and not just a fling. I was worried the guy was cheap.

Today, I see the typical Obama supporter is posting earlier than usual.

Yes, the Obama supporters are here with their poor spelling, syntax and sentence structure.

Anothet way to sniff out an Obama supporter is to read their one line comedic zingers.

Obama supporters have no depth or insight, ALL tunnel vision!

    Do you people have Jobs?

Yes I do, however I'm in the lounge with my co-workers, we are laughing at Obama and his arrogant infomercial, yes we still find it to be a ploy, a joke, a last ditch efford to plant his feet in the lead.

Like Reagan, McCain will wrap this election up over the course of the next few days; Obama knows this, or why else spend that kind of $$ if you knew that you had this election in the bag.

Obama & Michelle, go back to Chicago!!

Too bad that after all that has been spent by McCain and Obama, the only candidate to candidly discuss his ACTUAL PLAN is Bob Barr, the Libertarian party candidate.

McBama is an empty vessel. The Republicans and Democrats are trying to woo us through "hope and change" and "fear and divisiveness" rather than through facts, plans and strategy.

There is a real choice for a better direction on Nov 4: Bob Barr. He is against the war, against raising taxes. He will shrink government and stop pumping up our debt. He is the ONLY CANDIDATE who will lower taxes (see the National Taxpayer Union). McBama will raise taxes, albeit one more slowly than the other.

Imagine if Obama and Biden were invited to be on SNL 20 times in 5 weeks...... The RNC would have a fit calling the liberal media bias completely out of control. Yet, in a time of crisis and economic failures, all the McCain/Palin camp can do is laugh at themselves.

More the reason why I switched from Republican to Indy this year and yet another example of why I will be voting Democrate for the first time in a presidential election.

It is funny to read the blogs – thankfully the liberal media has been fair and open regarding supporting the canidates. I would like to know why Obama issues don't become important , included comments made by Bindin about Obama going to be tested on a global front but clothes of VP choice of McCain become the primary discussion point. Thank you liberal media for reporting the real issues....

McCain is a buffoon, and if he had spent more time picking a legitimate VP than he does making the rounds on TV, maybe he'd be ahead.

Sarah is a moron who needs to go back to school to learn English. Her syntax is awful, and I hate to hear her speak.

Please God send her back to Alaska now. I can't vote fast enough to send her back to the woods because listening to her makes my brain twitch.
