Watch: Palin campaigns in Polk City, FL Saturday
Looking around the Fantasy of Flight aircraft hangar where the rally took place, one could see all the usual reminders that it was a pro-McCain event. There were two large “Country First” banners hung on the walls along with four enormous American flags meant to conjure the campaign’s underlying patriotic theme. Many of the men and women in the audience wore McCain hats and t-shirts.
But on closer inspection, the GOP nominee’s name was literally nowhere to be found on any of the official campaign signage distributed to supporters at the event.
Members of the audience proudly waved “Country First” placards as Palin delivered her stump speech. Those signs were paid for by the Republican National Committee.
The other sign handed out to supporters read “Florida is Palin Country,” but those signs were neither paid for by the Republican National Committee nor the McCain campaign. In small print, the signs were stamped with the line “Paid for and authorized by Putnam for Congress" - as in, the re-election campaign of Florida congressman Adam Putnam, whose district skirts Polk City.
In fact, Putnam’s name was considerably more prominent than was McCain’s - his campaign had placed a number of large “Putnam for Congress” banners around the event site.
A person who wants power so much, should never be in power.
WHAT? How can anyone be surprised by this...? She's been out for hereself all along. The woman is Dick Cheney's lost child...
Reminds one of rats fleeing a sinking ship.
That's quite hilarious....she won't be winning anything in 2012 either though!
Well, now what do we have here? Although I wish Sarah Palin would run back to Ted Stevens and Alaska and work on her grammar, we really can't blame her. What kind of campaign management and candidate leadership is this blunder? Who failed to efficiently plan for this rally? Obviously nobody in McCain's campaign.
Looks like the republican voters and the congressional candidate in this place planned well. McShame! McShame! McShame! So much for leadership and experience, "My fellow prisoners." – Quote from the horse's mouth at one of his own McShameful rallies. And he seriously believes terrorists respect him enough NOT to test him. Is he serious? Give me a break, McCain is hard pressed to get respect from his own party and voters. Case in point, this "Palin Country" rally. WOW! LOL people, LOL!
That's interesting because recently I received a copy of Townhall ( a conservative magazine) that showed the same thing. Don't ask me why they sent me this free copy, I'm a registered Independent for Obama. The interesting part is on the cover is a huge picture of Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin but no mention or picture of John Mccain. They do realize if they win, Mccain will be president don't they?
Watch out McCain Sarah is aiming for you!
Some how if this worthless POS Palin thinks she will get independent votes like me forget it. McCain control your pitbull (i.e., bixxx per her own admission that she is a pitbull) before she will lose all independent voters. You know what – I can never vote Republican if that's all the campaign is about;. Denigrating your opponent with terrorist label, socialist, communist simply because he is a black with an IQ that is greater than combined IQ of McCain and Palin. Palin/McCain showed the worst in human beings. I pray for the safety of Obama. McCain get back to basics – you WERE a decent person, but now a jerk like Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and the rest who spew hate and hide under a skirt when it comes to fighting for this country.
Now McCain's name nowheer seen in Florida rally...soon Pallin name will not be seen anywhere either.......NOV 4th is the day.....
People please go and VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE
This is what sell-outs deserve.
McCain picked her. If history is prolog she takes the jobs of those who appoints her or recommends her, WHAT DID HE EXPECT????
McCain will have " Joe The Plumber"!!!!!!
Talk about throwing McCain under the Straight Talk Express
Go Sarah Palin!!!
And by 'Go Sarah Palin' I mean go help Obama win an enormous landslide.
It's so funny how McCain's low road VP pick is totally backfiring on him now
