Brazile: The day we turned the page

(CNN) - Tuesday, November 4, 2008 will go down as the day America opened its history book, turned the page and started a new chapter of change.

This is truly an historic night - a moment many of us prayed for, marched for, organized for and some even died for. This is not the end of a journey, but the turning of a major page in American history.

If Dr Martin Luther King were alive, he would have cautioned us not to stop praying, not to stop marching, but to keep the dream alive.

As Senator Barack Obama has stated so long ago, change never comes easy. Tonight the people of America will tell the world that they are ready for change and they will back Obama in leading the change.

Say hello to our welfare state…yippie…now 'The One' will pay my morgage and my car bill and maybe child care. I cant wait to not have any responsibilities. I cant wait for jobs to be cut because of higher taxes…oh but wait the ones who dont pay taxes will get a rebate, awesome. Maybe I should quit my job and just wait for 'The One' to take care of everything

  3. No Hillary = No Obama

No we didn't turn a page. Had it been a woman – had it been Hillary, then we would have turned a page. Sexist media. Sexist country. Karmic debt.

I'm so happy right now. If there could be any American event that could be the polar opposite of 9/11, it's got to be tonight. OBAMA!!!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

Nobody knows where the voters have gone
They all left at the same time
    Why were they waving goodbye
Is this an omen ...some kind of a sign?

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

Then the announcement came late at night
Please leave me alone for a while
'Til someone tells me it's a dream
I've got no reason to smile

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

Obama and Biden just walked thru the door
Just like a Prez and V.P
    Oh what an election surprise
    Obama won and not me!!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

Oh-oh-oh It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to.....

A night we will regret for the rest of our lives. I am not ready to lose my civil rights for a "history making moment". I am not willing to give up the fruits of my hard labor for those that want a handout. I do not want a gameshow president. This is officially now a nation of ignorant people.

Praise God! Thank you, Dr. King. Thank you, Coretta. Thank you to all who have worked, prayed, and struggled so that this day might happen. As a 39 year-old white woman who voted for Obama, I couldn't be more proud to be an American than I am today. May God continue to guide us and may we ALL work together for the change we need and desire.

It must feel good, Donna, to be able to finally show your true colors after having had to pretend to be a "neutral" expert throughout this election season.

Exactly, this is a night in American History. It is the start of the socialism of America, its the start of the funeral of Uncle Sam.
