GOP official says it's over for McCain

(CNN) - The Ohio loss is a crushing blow to McCain. A senior-level GOP official tells me it's over. He's done.

There is no way he can win without Ohio, that was his last hope.

I laugh in the faces of the liars! I dance victoriously! I shake my backside at the losers! Get your slime and junk out of here! go back to Sedona and Wasilla! I am joyous! It is the end of the Republicans!

Yes – it appears God's will is being done in America. Sometimes he lets a blessed people enjoy the fruits of their ignoring him. I'm afraid that's what we're in for. We'll see.

It's not over at all, though it looks like it's going Obama's way. Mind you, it looked like it was going Gore's way too...

I only voted for McCain because of Palin. She's the most experienced of them all. She is the only one with executive experience! The other three are legislators and Obama can't even decided what to vote for (votes present)

funny how the supporters of this "war" are still stuck thinking that it is a good thing. Keep our soil safe – ON OUR SOIL!!!! Yes President Obama, please bring home our men and women and have them actually protect the USA. Oh yes, and as far as the taxes, please tax the people who make more money and understand that they are way more able to survive on their incomes. Also, please tax the huge coporations. Bring jobs back to the US by eliminating outsourcing by taxing the companies who choose to do it – maybe then we can even understand what is being said to us on the phone. What a novel concept.

There's a difference between being a maverick and being a leader. McCain thought we didn't know the difference. Thanks, but no thanks... and that goes for your little pit bull with lipstick, too.

I hope now the GOP will remove GOD from their platform. Religion is divisive, immoral, corrupt, and just plain stupid.

"Give peace a chance, vote a straight Democratic ticket"-you are showing your ignorance in so many ways that it's unbelievable. Maybe you should actually LEARN something about each candidate before you go voting a straight party line..how foolish. And the immature name calling? Are you old enough to vote?

I won't say it is over until the last ballot is counted.

The world is watching with a careful eye to see if
we, as a country, can embrace a man who looks,
walks and talks unlike any before him.

Taxes will come, new agendas wil arise, and our view
on the world stage will be much brighter!!!!

Hopefully, as a nation we can come together and put
    to rest all the divisiveness.

I agree with the poster, as a former Republican, now an Independent, Republicans will not take a loss lying down. Don't expect ANY Republican gun owner to give up their guns, or accept any socialism without a fight. Republicans will re-group and start putting Republicans and third party candidates in local positions. They have four years to fight, and fight they will. This country is on a down hill slide into Socialism/facism, and marks a depressing turning point for this once great country. It's pretty sad that Obama may win this thing. I didn't vote for him, and never would. Frankly, it's not a race thing with me, it's a credibility issue. He's deceitful, and unAmerican.
We definitely need to pray for our nation. We will no longer be a force to be reckoned with, but a patsy serving the United Nations. We are officially pathetic.

Wow, so many sheep falling for a man that they know nothing about. Good thing the media was on his side, I just wonder how long it will take before buyer's remorse sets in and you all try to convince us that you did not vote for him, like alot of people with Clinton. Get in line to recieve your welfare–oops I mean tax rebates, but that is only if you did not pay taxes.

To the idiots cheering on tonight.

I hope you really realize what you have done.

You've elected a reverse racist, a coward who sat in a pew and did nothing for 20 years while hate was spewed. But he, like many of you, never would really serve this country. A guy who befriends and hires as advisers some of the worst anti-Semites and America haters in any Presidential team.

Ronald Reagan, no, make that Abe Lincoln, is turning over in his grave.

And flower children, tell me, who will want to serve in our armed forces now, when their commander-in-chief is a coward who would appease our enemies? Kindly tell me.

    I can tell you this.

Osama, Ahmedinejedad and Putin are laughing their heads off at the weak Americans whom 8 years after 9/11 are willing to surrender to them. Because that was YOUR choice.

I just hope we can survive the next 4 years under this piece of manure. God Help America.
