GOP official says it's over for McCain

(CNN) - The Ohio loss is a crushing blow to McCain. A senior-level GOP official tells me it's over. He's done.

There is no way he can win without Ohio, that was his last hope.

cheer for the morally bankrupt with ties to what amounts to the Chicago mob.Oh boy we are saved now!
I stopped caring about McCain when he proved to me he could flake out.But to think that this is the best America has to offer? It's a tragic day. This senator has never run anything and has had a disgraceful voting record most Americans never bothered to read it.
I can't wait for taxes to go up.

I hope that everyone remembers how happy they are tonight that they helped elect Obama when their taxes go up an we have to wait 3 hours to be seen at the doctor. Someday soon everyone will see him for who he really is, a liar.

Hate to tell you folks but in the end run you'll find you regret all the Obama votes... And Litzie and Bob–show some respect for a man who served his country for so many years. I wonder how many years YOU would've lasted in the Hanoi Hilton??

When given a choice between a goofball and a bigger goofball, I have only one thing to ask.

Can I get another candidate to choose from?

I didn't vote, proud to say. When they give me someone worth voting for, I'll vote. Until then, I couldn't care less.

Congrats to Obama and the Dems. Of course, Obama cannot save all those industrial jobs in the Midwest, and cannot reduce debt by raising taxes on job creators while increasing entitlement spending, and will, with Pelosi, move this country much farther to the left than anyone wants, but it's a nice night for him. Will 2010 become another 1994? I suppose that will be the next thing to think about, once all the disillusionment and disappointment inevitably sets in.

Tell John McCain and Sarah Palin that their campaign of hate and lies and fearmongering is what lost the election for them.
They lost thousands of votes because of their campaign....they also lost the respect of many people.
And teaming up with that silly joe the plumber was the biggest mistake! John McCain made a complete fool of himself and now he's paying for it.
And Sara Palin may as well go back to Alaska – her name is MUDD, and her lies and attacks on Obama backfired big time.

I hope all the Dems are happy now and will be in another few yrs when their president "comes through" for them. I hope there won't be road side abortion clinics and happy homo wedding chapels at every exit.

Yes tax increases for the people earning over 250,000$, how exactly is that a bad thing?! why is every republican focusing on that being an issue, its about time. Go Obama, 100 times better than a grumpy old bitter man and his plank.

Lincoln wouldn't have won for the republicans in this election. Shoot John Kerry may have even won tonight for the democrats.

Be interesting to see what the democrats do. I bet a big correction in 2 years for republican house and senate.

I still respect John McCain and what he's done for this country. But I have tears in my eyes – I've never been so proud of my country. I have always been proud to be an American – but tonight is special.
