GOP official says it's over for McCain

(CNN) - The Ohio loss is a crushing blow to McCain. A senior-level GOP official tells me it's over. He's done.

There is no way he can win without Ohio, that was his last hope.

The Democrats have no excuses. They control the Senate, the House and the White House. The ball is in their court. I'll see you all in 2010 when you realize the change that was promised was no change at all.

The great Martin Luther King said he looked forward to a day that a man is not juged by the color of his skin, but the content of his character. Well, it seems as though we will have to keep waiting.
I'm afraid we have elected a BIRACIAL president (not black) all for race, not the content of his character. I guess we have a long way to go America-how sad.

Say hello to our welfare 'The One' will pay my morgage and my car bill and maybe child care. I cant wait to not have any responsibilities. I cant wait for jobs to be cut because of higher taxes...oh but wait the ones who dont pay taxes will get a rebate, awesome. Maybe I should quit my job and just wait for 'The One' to take care of everything.

Just look at the video images of the pending victory parties. The McCain party is 100% white. The Obama party is a true mix of Americans. This is why McCain is gonna lose. The Republican Party has a LOT of work to do to attract non-white voters.

Based on the results so far, this becomes a very sad day for America. I was honestly hoping that America was intelligent enough not to sell out to the liberals and those who would sell this country down the drain.

Yes, it's true that we survived the Bill Clinton years okay. But these are far more perilous times now–and to put this self-avowed pacifist, who wants us out of Iraq and abdicate our responsibilities to keep Muslim extremists off our soil is pretty bleak.

People seem to forget that Obama was raised as a Muslim. Anyone who thinks that he won't sell out to them, responding to his own upbringing, is delusional. God Help The U. S. A. She's going to need it now!

easy everyone, this was a close race and either candidates will have their hands full when they get the the White House. Like it or not, the people have spoken and now we get to either enjoy or suffer through. Just hang on and pray.

Ha...Keeper of the Lame (sorry) Flame.....

You are a funny! I guess you would expect us to leave all the debt to our kids.

Well...listen here Einstein; I need my child to look after me when I'm too old. Thanks to Bush – 0 – 401k is toast. As he's trying to pay back all the money we owe china, he won't have anything to pay my nursing home bills. YA BIG DUMMY!

As a soldier who served this great nation in Iraq i would just like tosay that when obama was touring Afghanistan and Iraq he didn't care one bit about the soldiers he was just there to get his publicity and that was it. There are numerous times he blew off soldiers. Is that the kind of man we need to run our armed forces? Hell NO!!!!! Hey the best part is when something bad happens no one can blame the republican party because the democrats will be running everything. Thats to bad. May GOD help us.

Sad for McCain, but he showed his lack of judgement when he either picked Palin or allowed her to be picked. He fell in love with her as did a lot of the old guys in the Republican party and they made the whole campaign look ridiculous. Then they got duped by the phony Joe the Plumber, who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, and tried to make him into a saint.

However, good for Obama, and in the long run I think it's best for the U.S. to have a young intelligent president who is willing to talk to and work with others.

It's a shame. We're all going to get a healthy dose of what the voters have asked for. Let's all pray that the country can recover from this in our lifetimes. Shame on the media for perpetuating the lies put out by our now future president.

WOW!!! When McCain makes it through this with an upset, he should fire his aides. They are so pessimistic.

America seems to not care about issues as much as they think because Obama is in the lead and it looks like the person with the most money and the best smile is winning this one.

Forget experience – oh'll be cycle just like how the Democrats controlled prior to Reagan and looked what happened. Americans in general need to away from Democrat / Republican mentality and pick who is best for OUR country.
