CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - A source with the Obama Transition team tells CNN Senior Political Correspondent Candy Crowley that a plan to name David Axelrod a Senior Adviser to the incoming President is "in the works."
Axelrod was the Obama presidential campaign's chief strategist, and a top adviser to Obama during his run for the Senate in 2004.
That would be great. He is excellent!
Great! What about Plouffe...?
Awesome... Axelrod is the best
Excellent idea.
He and others were absolutely brilliant in handling Sen. Obama's campaign and they have earned their positions, whatever roles Pres. Elect Obama offers them. I am so hopeful for America again, that it reminds me of when JFK was elected, and they couldn't imagine electing a catholic back then. I'm 64, white, blue collar, female from PA and have seen a lot of changes in my time and electing Barack Obama was the most inspiring one yet.
Good
Obama had a great campaign team, it makes perfectly good sense to keep some of these folk around. They are loyal to Obama and want to see him succeed. Good luck Mr. President!
Yeah, you have to keep hardworking smart people around you. I would imagine that there is trust there as well.
So far so good "O".
Good call. Axelrod did a great job.
Definitely need to keep this guy around! Very smart!
This is fantastic news. Obama's campaign manager also did an exceptional job... and Axelrod? Simply amazing! His work as Chief Strategist is beyond compare. All of a sudden, even the best adjectives just suddenly seem so wimpy ... and totally inadequate to express the extraordinary job of Obama and his staff during the campaign. It's great to hear that we'll continue to hear about Axelrod. By the luckiest chance, I saw him at a 20 foot distance during the Obama rally on MU campus in Columbia, MO. He looked totally a little puzzled at having HIS his name yelled out, and looked around quizzically, I thought. When he noted my waving, and his eye caught mine, I gave him a most enthusiastic "thumbs up," and he gave a little nod and modestly mouthed "Thank you". These guys are not showy and arrogant! How refreshing to see brilliance in people who are so steady, straightforward and singleminded in their focus. Their dazzle is all in the methodical process and incredible results. Seeing Axelrod at the rally, it was a great feeling to be able to express thanks to someone who has done a quantum-remarkable job, along with Plouffe (amazing!), their whole staff, all the volunteers - and, of course, Barack and his family.
Why are they giving this jerk Joe Lieberman any time to ponder his options, dose he think its o.k to back a republican then be a democrat? Get the hell out of here. I couldn't stand looking at his dumm looking self, tell him to go with the party he is more like; LOOSERS "REPUBLICAN"
Good ridens Lieberman ponder my foot
God Bless him! He deserves it. The Country deserves him!
Its Great to see him Keeping Axelrod, He worked so hard for Obama He deserves this!

Religion is the root of all evil.
Not a surprise, but well-earned.

I hope he keeps David Ploufe around
if it ain't broke don't fix it, GREAT CHOICE.
This guy was the key to getting a black man elected president in Amercia.
Give him some water and see if it turns to wine.
That was quite a task to tackle.
To Leo – HA! You're too funny – you ARE joking right? Palin?
So far, so good – Obama is selecting all these men that are "easy on the eye" I will enjoy the next four years – looking at all these good looking men!!! And they are gifted with intellect also – way to go!!
Let's talk about Lieberman for a second. Wasn't there a politician a few years back that was a registered Republican from one of the NE states and didn't he jump from Repub to Demo so they could have a majority or prevent the repubs from having a majority? Why is that okay, but what Lieberrman did not okay?
What is good for the goose is good for the gander isn't it?
