Source: Axelrod to be named presidential adviser

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - A source with the Obama Transition team tells CNN Senior Political Correspondent Candy Crowley that a plan to name David Axelrod a Senior Adviser to the incoming President is "in the works."
Axelrod was the Obama presidential campaign's chief strategist, and a top adviser to Obama during his run for the Senate in 2004.

Leo – not everyone who voted for Obama are "liberals". I know democrats, independents AND republicans who voted for Obama and most of them I would describe as moderate or centrists – not left-wing or right-wing.
BTW – read the article that states the republican turnout at the polls was lower this election than in 2004. Perhaps you should be a little more angry at those republicans who did NOT show up to vote.
Lots of bitter people in here. If you can't deal with the next 8 years, perhaps you should leave!

I also think you have to reward the great staff Obama had get him to the White House.
Just make sure they are going to give you opinion and not just be yes men like Bush had when he got into office and I will be fine with Obama's picks.
Listen- this was the BEST campaign run in modern history- he should be taking every person involved with him and involving them somehow in the White House.
They have ALL earned it, in my humble opinion.
Based on said campaign- I have full confidence in all of Obama's upcoming picks.

The stock market is down 10% in the two days Obama has been president elect.
People are selling everything because they know he will raise cap. gains taxes. This is killing me and all the other people who hope to retire one day.

Give it up Leo. What is Obama to do? Appoint High School students to his administration. He has no choice but to rely on some folks with experience and expertise in various areas of government. If McCain had won the election he too would have selected experienced people to make up his administration. Experienced insiders as you say.
But here is the difference. Those Obama appoints better be for change or they will be fired by Obama. You can count on it. Whereas McCain's appointees would be freer to do as they please because McCain would not be able to contro lthem. This is obvious by McCain's inability to control his own campaign, and his VP running mate. Obama will have loyaty for his goal of change. McCain would not have had such loyalty.
And forget 2012. McCain is too old and Palin is too ingnorant. You better find a new savior for the Republican party who might be competitve in 2016, might.

It's ironic how the lib-tards think we are "all one and united" now just because the Obama victory speech in Chicago was sooooooo diverse and multi cultural. Well, there is nothing farther from the truth. A good chunk of latinos supported the GOP, and the dems do NOT have the black vote completely locked up...just the dumb blacks (smart ones voted for McCain). If Obama was really the "post-partisan" guy he is cracked up to be, then he would be reaching out to Republicans right now.
