Former Clinton adviser to make run for governor in VA

Terry McAuliffe was widely expected to make his decision after Election Day. The former Democratic National Committee chairman will now do a 60 day listening tour of the state.
In September, McAuliffe hired longtime Virginia political consultant Mo Elleithee to start planning a possible statewide campaign, should he decide to run. Elleithee spent the last year working alongside McAuliffe in the Clinton campaign as a senior spokesman, but in recent years he has also helped steer Tim Kaine and Mark Warner to signature Democratic victories in Virginia.
Should he run, McAuliffe will face off in next year’s Democratic primary against state Sen. Creigh Deeds and State House Rep. Brian Moran. Virginia’s Attorney General Bob McDonnell is expected to run for the Republican nomination unopposed.

I wish opinionated people would get their facts straight–Tim Kaine cannot run for re-election for a consecutive term. Terry's main contribution to Virginia is that he lives here and presumably pays taxes here. Otherwise he has no connection to civic life in Virginia that I'm aware of. He has great talents in raising money, which have been used in the service of Hillary Clinton's campaign.
I urge everyone to support Brian Moran, who has a history of two decades of service to VIRGINIA. He has served in the VA House of Delegates since 1995 and has chaired the House Democratic Caucus since 2001. He KNOWS Virginia and how it works–he doesn't just live here.
We can keep the Governor's office, but we need to run a Virginian to be Governor of Virginia. One who is known and desires to serve Virginia not someone who just wants to be an officeholder -and certainly not someone who after testing the NJ and FL waters decides to test VA next. We need Creigh Deeds for Virginia's next Governor!
This man and the rest of the so-called Clinton "advisers" did her a grave disservice by not confronting the disrespectful, degrading, demeaning comments rampant throughout the media when they first started. To let this go on and on without any statement from ANYONE including Pelosi and Obama and the rest of the turn coats is what cost her the nomination. These subversive actions hijacked her chances and instead promoted a wannabe who is now President.
If I lived in VA I would not vote for this guy. I think Brian Moran would be better. McAuliffe I am sure is a decent guy, his position in Clinton's campaign made him very divisive. I do not think he would make it if he won the nomination.

I'm a Northern Virginia Democrat, voted for Obama last week, but I will be supporting Bob McDonnell for VA governor.
Terry McCauliffe is a loudmouth, and he brings nothing to the table other than a (D) beside his name.
I live in Virginia and there is no way that he's going to get elected. I really don't see Kaine, our current governor, or Mark Warner, our Senator, as campaigning for him. Also, most of us Obama primary supporters are not going to forget the way he acted during the campaign. He will never be elected as governor of VA.

I have feared this for the last couple years. As a loyal democrat and VA resident, I can't fathom a worse option. All of the political good will that Mark Warner brought to this state will be erased by the former fundraiser in chief. Anyone but Terry.
