Gore won't serve in an Obama White House

The former vice president, winner of the Nobel prize for his environmental education efforts, had been considered a likely candidate for the post of "climate czar."
"Former Vice President Gore does not intend to seek or accept any formal position in government," Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider told the Washington Times. "He feels very strong right now that the best thing for him to do is to build support for the bold changes that we have to make to solve the climate crisis."

Palin should take a lesson and fade into obscurity like Gore has. I like the guy but he now knows his place and that is OUT of the public spotlight.

I think Al has figured out he can do more outside of the White House than he could from the inside.
And Larry is correct. Being "Czar" has as much to do with being a communist as being "President" has to do with leading Russia. Oops! Did I say that outloud?
That's OKAY, Sen. Obama is going to call on you when he needs your expertise. YOU are the EXPERT in the field and President-Elect Obama knows WHO he can call on. You keep doing what you do BEST.
Gore will have a much freer hand staying an outsider. Obama's administration is shaping up so far to be VERY insider, very corporate, and very controlled.
Someone creative and driven like Gore would do well to stay out of Washington politics as much as possible.

Well, I think that Gore has had his time and allowed the Republican Party to steal the Presidency and I really don't feel that his presense is required. Obama will do well and will select the people who will best support him in the areas that he needs them. He does not need a could have been on his staff hating on him.
I wonder if Gore had run for President this year with Hillary and Obama...if we would be saying President-elect Gore right now, instead of Obama...??
I would have thought he being a Democrat and with his work with the enviornment he certainly would have fit in Obama's team. Apparently he wants to be #1.
