Gore won't serve in an Obama White House

The former vice president, winner of the Nobel prize for his environmental education efforts, had been considered a likely candidate for the post of "climate czar."
"Former Vice President Gore does not intend to seek or accept any formal position in government," Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider told the Washington Times. "He feels very strong right now that the best thing for him to do is to build support for the bold changes that we have to make to solve the climate crisis."

Barack needs to have free agents working outside the limits of government in order to help him too. Al Gore is more valuable to Barack as a free agent. All Barack has to do is find someone who believes that our "Climate" is in jeopardy... that would be a good first step. Then he needs to ascertain if that person is an expert, over achiever in their field. NO MORE losers running our govenment. I want to see motivated ambitious American ingenuity on display. I'm so tired of a party who want to be JOE THE PLUMBER!!!!

Why does Gore have to be thought of as a cabinet-level position, why not ask him to head up the Environmental Protection Agency?

It would be inappropriate for a former vice-president to be in the close advisory council of another president. Al Gore does know his stuff about the climate crisis and our global energy joke, though.
He would probably be fairly confused by the process of appointment into office though, since he was elected in with Clinton and was bought out by Bush in 2000.
I'd say he's got a taste for Hollywood folks since he's been bitten by the "star" bug.

I think Obama should hire someone with more respect. Rezko is environmentally concious. All those families in Chicago with no functioning electrical outlets saved alot of energy. Obama will make a wise choice I'm sure.
I guess there's always something to be thankful for and I'm extremely thankful that this bloated gasbag won't be rearing his head back in Washington.

Why so many nasty comments about Gore? He's a brilliant man an was a great VP, unlike the numbskull who was running for VP with McCain.
Gore will be able to do so much more for climate on the outside.
