Bush daughters give tour to Obamas

The Bush daughters showed Malia and Sasha Obama their future rooms and other parts of their soon-to-be home, according to Sally McDonough, first lady Laura Bush's press secretary.
“Mrs. Bush hosted Mrs. Obama and her family at the White House this afternoon. Barbara and Jenna joined, and they enjoyed showing their rooms to the Obama girls," McDonough said. "The visit lasted approximately one hour.”

well, it's not exactly like they've had a choice.
how depressing and offensive it is that that administration's leader had such a disgracefully destructive and poor performance to our nation that we actually think to "congratulate" him and his family for being gracious hosts of the incoming family. last i checked it was one of the most esteemed office to hold, in the most gracious of houses, in all of the world.
it's the very very very very least they could do.

i agree with "A Woman In California For Obama" and "SOUTHERN HOTTIE" at the same time. a really decent gesture, the Bush's have been very nice. but it doesn't really invite political discussion, more just human interest.
I have to admit it was a nice touch to have the former residents of the childrens' rooms give a tour to the new "first daughters."
Why no pictures?
I completely agree - over the last week, Bush has truly impressed me.
I think this shows that old W is ready to leave and Dodge and quick. He sees the power swinging in DC over to the opposition and can't wait to leave. But I do have to say that I have been impressed with the courtesy and hospitality extended by the Bush family. I really have to say that this time around the Republicans have lost gracefully and hopefully this will usher in a new era in politics that this country woefully needs.
Everyone is right to thank the Bush's for their hospitality. Let's not forget the outgoing Clinton Whitehouse took all of (or most of) the W's from the keyboards of the computers as a prank. I think that we can think a lot of the kindness to Laura Bush. She knows that this will be a huge adjustment for the Obama girls. Brava! Also, I think reality is setting in quickly that the lowest approval ratings of all time is not a way to be remembered. So, finally maybe someone can say nice things about Mr. and Mrs. Bush. There is no way to go back and change the last 8 years. Remember America did vote him in twice.
The press should stop stalking the Obama girls!! A picture I saw on Campbell Brown lokked like the photographer was hiding behind a tree when he took it. The media should treat these two young girls as the media in England does the chlidren of the Royal family.
Of course! Showing around the WH to the first african-american president's family will do a face lift up for the Bush's legacy in the anals of history... Very Smart! Brilliant!!

the bush girls are lovely, it's nice to see they are being so gracious to these precious little girls.
First and foremost, Laura Bush is a lady. She has obviously raised two nice young women. I think it was a very nice gesture for the Bush women to take the time to show the Obamas around the White House. You'd never see a Clinton do anything so gracious–they trashed the place, and stole what wasn't nailed down.

How sweet, while the Bush girls are touring, some other little girl is packing up her belongings from her room because of foreclosure, another little girl cries for her daddy who was lost in a war that was a lie. The Bush twins will never want for anything ,unless justice prevails and their daddy gets indicited. Cry me a river, I'm not buying anybody's pity for the Bush clan.
