Why do people keep saying "holiday dinner," or "have a happy holiday" instead of Thanksgiving. Is there now something politically incorrect about the word "Thanksgiving" too, just because it was based on giving thanks to God? If so, that is ridiculous.

I am truly thankful for the wonderful young men and women who have volunteered to protect our country. Also, I am thankful that
God allowed this country to have George Bush as president during the past several years. He has stood up for our country when even our own citizens don't.

It's a shame he's left this country in such a sad fix that most families won't be able to eat as well as he.

Having an average Thanksgiving meal like most Americans would go a long way with most people or maybe this is what cutting back looks like for the president.

He should have to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas in Iraq and Afghanistan with the troops.
He sent them there and should have to stay with them.

It's nice to see,as the food bank line-ups lengthen and the number of
people having to resort to unemplyment insurance continues to grow,
that the well-heeled at the top can sit down to such bounty.

We should make it illegal to elect anyone that has financially profited from war and we should prohibit elected officials from making any future financial gains from war, e.g. Cheney and Haliburton. How can we really ask others to stop using violence when our own leaders get rich from war?

That's just too much food for the President and his family to eat, they really should share it with some more needy family.

If he is calling to apologize for a the death and destruction he has cause Americans and Iraqis, it wouldnt be a bad thing.
And while he is at it, he could admit that Iraq is much worse off (three countries in one, three major ethnic groups who will now fight till the end of days) than it was with Saddam Hussein.

THANKSGIVING MENU AT MANY AMERICAN HOMES

Beefaroni or some other canned good that was on sale

    Stale bread ends

Canned surprise! The label was off so it was on sale. What is it? Who knows...SURPRISE!

Twinkies (a two-pack split among five family members)

I wonder what the menu is at the homes of AIG and GM executives and CEOs?
