Rove says Obama economic team 'reassuring'

(CNN) - President-elect Barack Obama is drawing early praise from former top Bush-aide Karl Rove.
Rove, widely credited with orchestrating President Bush's two successful presidential campaigns, writes in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that Obama has assembled a "first rate" economic team that has "provided surprisingly positive clarity."
Specifically, Rove praises Obama's choice of New York Fed Chairman Timothy Geithner for Treasury Secretary and Obama's pick of Larry Summers, the former Treasury Secretary and President of Harvard University, as chief of the National Economic Council.
"Monday's announcement of Mr. Obama's economic team was reassuring," Rove writes. "He's generally surrounded himself with intelligent, mainstream advisers. Investors, workers and business owners can only hope that, over time, this new administration's economic policies bear more of their market-oriented imprint."
Rove also offers praise of Berkley Economics Professor Christina Romer as Obama's choice to head up his team of economics advisers. But Rove criticizes the choice of Melody Barnes, a former aide to Sen. Ted Kennedy, as Domestic Policy Council Director.
"Putting a former aide to Ted Kennedy in charge of health policy after tapping universal health-care advocate Tom Daschle to be Health and Human Services secretary sends a clear signal that Mr. Obama didn't mean it when his campaign ads said he wouldn't run to the "extremes" with government-run health care," Rove writes.

Here we go again!! Karl Rove is a JOKE!! After months of criticizing Obama, he changes his tune once the american people REJECT his politics, and embrace hope instead of his brand of fear and cynisicm.
In one breath, he sounds like he appreciates Obama, but read the article, and he's back to attacking.
Then he resorts to the Politics of division. All of a sudden, picking an advisor who worked for Ted Kennedy is the worse receipe? If Karl Rove was so smart, why does the President whom he advised have the worst approval rating in Modern history, and why did Obama win the Presidency by running against Karl Rove and his policies?!
Rove – another has been. Why do we care what he thinks? How is that news?
Something tells me Barack could care less what Rove thinks.

There's no place for Rove in Obama's administration so his comments are none essential.

So when is Karl Rove such an expert? He's a marketing guy. Obviously if he, or anyone else in the Bush administration, had a clue about economics, military campaigns or pretty much anything else, we would not be in such a mess today.
Rove and people like Gover Norquist are pathetic little men who use their God-given intellect for all the wrong causes. I suspect both were probably whupped on a lot by bullies as nerdy little kids, and this is their big get-even.

I am anxiously awaiting the Muslims to speak out about the tragic killing of innocent men, women and children in Bombay. I am shocked that they are silent. If the clerics had any guts they would speak out against this unjust and cowardly attack against innocent human beings.

Rove should be behind bars along with the rest of the gang. I find it hard to believe that this -person- is wiling to even show up in front of a camera! Where is the outrage to people like this that have about destroyed this country as we knew it. I only hope that there will be investigations for some of these clowns down the road.
