Has Palin snubbed Oprah?

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Oprah says she wants Palin on her show."]

(CNN) - Did Sarah Palin snub Oprah Winfrey?

That's what the most popular daytime talk show host and fervent Barack Obama supporter appeared to suggest in a recent interview with the entertainment show Extra.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over... I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”

Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she refused to invite the former vice presidential candidate on her popular daytime show.

Earlier this week, the talk show host announced she will tape her inauguration week show in the nation’s capital, and has rented the Kennedy Center’s lush Opera House – which seats roughly 2,300 — to serve as her studio.

“There are not even words to talk about what this night means,” Oprah said of Obama's inauguration. “Everybody keeps using the word historic — there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth… Nothing can compare to this.”

Geez! Oprah can't win! First she makes it clear that she's not going to interview the candidates during the election. She gets blasted for not interviewing Palin, supposedly because she's biased to the left (she wasn't interviewing ANY of the candidates!); then she tries to invite her AFTER the election, gets snubbed, then blasted again by mistaken Palin sympathizers for supposedly snubbing her in the first place!

Sarah should go on the show, so we can see she hasn't changed since the debates and interviews. Once a moronic babbling idiot, always a moronic idiot. They must not teach history, geography or anything worth knowing in the schools she went to, because she has yet to learn English or how to put together a sentence.

  3. To Hell with stupid Conservatives

Who the hell is Sarah faillig?.... a lady elected because she is first alaskan female gov. Women voted for her before they knew her. Her high pitchy is darn annoying. I hope she'll glue herself in alaska. She has chicken intelligence. she thinks everything is a beauty contest. She cannot answer questions. Cannot raise her own child. At 17 her daughter pregnant out of wed lock. Sarah if you can't raise your child you can never run a country....

Joe the plumber is a liar.
    Liar, liar pants on fire.
Hoping he'll work in a cabinet for president McCain.
Oops, I forgot McCain did not win
    So republicans are in pain.
Their illiterate VP choice, Sarah Palin's,
Fifteen minutes of fame is fading.
They are sad and as a result they resort to hatred.

You stupid conservatives should know that you are sending the wrong message to the world. Your hate for foreigners, and muslims could comeback to hunt you.

America is a liberal country. Change has come back to America.

Well Jeff you were wrong about CNN printing/posting your "dribble" so that probably (Does) means you are wrong about everything else. No doubt in my mind..

I believe Sarah Palin is trying to find an interpreter, who speaks that same wacky language she speaks, to go along with her to Oprah's show. Oprah will need someone there on stage to translate what that idiot Palin will be trying to say.
Why not have Tina Fey come on instead and fill in for Palin? Tina would do a much better job and Oprah could understand her because Tina Fey speaks English.

Wow there are a lot of small, bitter people out there, especially on these forums. Don't hate Oprah because she's successful and falls in a different demographic as you; it only reflects badly on you.

Although Sarah needs to go back to school, she has star power whether people like it or not.
Sarah shouldn't waste her time improving ratings for the Orpha show.

CNN reporting the important issues as always. Why don't you report on the millions of dollars we are still giving the Iraqi government everyday while our service members live in buildings with no plumbing and tents?

I am really sorry that Sarah Palin has offended Oprah, but I distinctly remember Oprah turning her down during the campaign. I voted for President-elect Obama, but once you clearly choose a side in an election, you can't blame her for talking to other people.

Ophrah is selfish and two-faced. Her ratings will suffer from her blind and misguided hero worship

Good for Sarah! Oprah claims that she didn't want her show to be a political platform prior to the election when that's exactly what she made it with her support for Obama. I am glad that Sarah snubbed her. At least she is true to her word. I used to like Oprah but after this incident, no way, no how. She showed her true racist colors.

One day the women of this country will wake up and realize Oprah is a fake! The Alaskans want their Governor home to run the state. They didn’t like the fact she went to PA. a couple of days ago and that was on state business. She needs to do interviews sparely from here on out. The corrupt news media (like CNN) is out in full force watching her every move in Alaska. But what they don’t understand is now they are in Palin Land and the Alaskans won’t put up with the tabloid main stream media trashing their governor. Journalism died in 2008.

Who cares?????????? Its not like Palin has anything interesting to say. Doesn't Palin knows that Joe "Six Pack" and Joe "The Plumber" doesn't watch Oprah.

Listen, I'm not a Palin fan. But some of you haters have to settle down. My wife and I both work and have a tough enough time making ends meet. I give Palin credit. Like her or not, she is a successful Governor and being a Governor can't be an easy job (even in Alaska). I honestly don't think she is stupid. In fact, I'd say she's ambitious and smart.. Just was not at all ready to step onto the national stage. Her biggest mistake was accepted the VP role. McCain didn't have a shot and I think she only hurt herself by coming out against a media darling (Obama) in a terrible year for any republican. That being said, everyone thought Truman and Reagan were idiots... so we'll see.

From a purely business standpoint, Oprah has managed to package and market the Southern Mammy schtick to millions of viewers who tune in for a bossom hug of empathy. I find it offensive that she perpetuates a gross stereotype, yet continually sells it as advice we all need. Unfortunate our culture buys into her nonsense. Allow Obama to govern and Palin to challenge public thought without her involvement.

Sarah – you should snub Oprah ... I used to be a big fan of hers ... no longer! AND I'm a Democrat! Oprah has crossed the line too many times.

I'm glad Sarah didn't go on Oprah. She wanted to during the campaign but Oprah refused because she was in the tank for Obama. Now that Sarah Palin is even more popular everyone is begging for her. Oprah you missed your chance...serves you right.

    Ah, poor poor lil O.
I'm sure it's not the first time someone exposed her to common sense. Opy doesn't deserve to be in her company. She had her chance to bring in the biggest newsmaker in a decade and she didn't.

She should only be booked onto an episode of older or overworked moms or something like that. As far as being a politico, she has a LOT of homework to do before she is ready to face the media for a real interview. Especially in light of how her 'practice' interviews have gone. What a joke.
