Has Palin snubbed Oprah?

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Oprah says she wants Palin on her show."]

(CNN) - Did Sarah Palin snub Oprah Winfrey?

That's what the most popular daytime talk show host and fervent Barack Obama supporter appeared to suggest in a recent interview with the entertainment show Extra.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over... I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”

Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she refused to invite the former vice presidential candidate on her popular daytime show.

Earlier this week, the talk show host announced she will tape her inauguration week show in the nation’s capital, and has rented the Kennedy Center’s lush Opera House – which seats roughly 2,300 — to serve as her studio.

“There are not even words to talk about what this night means,” Oprah said of Obama's inauguration. “Everybody keeps using the word historic — there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth… Nothing can compare to this.”

I hope she never gives her an interview. Oprah is so over rated.

Sarah is a hate monger. I met her in CO and watched a lot of smart people exit. She is the devil in a rented dress.

Why would any one care what that fat old hag Oprah has to say in the first place.

lets face it she do anything she could in order to make Palin look at dumb as Oprah is.

I bet Oprah thinks it was her that got Obama elected in the first place. gee that hag is full of herself.

Sarah who? Does anybody think she will be relevant in a year from now unless she tries to get Alaska to secede from the United States. The McCain campaign may regret ever picking her as his V.P. choice. One more thing, how can we miss you if you don't go away!

It is time for the presidential team to slowly take a healthy distance from Oprah .

We will be grateful for the work you have done but the time of "letting go" is coming near because 'real work' is about to be done .

Who cares if she snubbed Oprah? Oprah despite her inflated egotistical self-opinion doesn't have a monopoly of who gets to be interviewed on TV and by whom

Of course, Palin only does those interviews which she can now stage. She's learned her lesson dealing with Katie Couric. No need to answer real questions, about real issues. A few zingers here, a few zingers there, a wave, a smile and a wink. That's her repertoire.

Hey "Smart guy", Obama won "inspite of his color?", "because of his color?" ... Neither! He won my non-care-about-color independent vote due to his intelligence, organization, and stand on the issues.....and because the other team was so unqualified and incapable. For a "smart guy", you made quite a stupid statement.

If Governor Palin invited Oprah to Alaska to conduct her interview, how do you think Oprah would react? What a comedy that would be. Oprah wouldn't be able to wear enough designer parkas to keep her warm. Oh yeah, and then put her on a snow machine ... a la Greta. Talk about a good sport and a great interviewer–that's Greta!

A lot of people on here are disrespecting Oprah, however she's a very generous person. Some of your comments on her weight are rather offensive. I think she's an important figure in American culture. She regularly gives to charitable organizations as well as helping others in need on her show.

I think Oprah represents something that quite a few on the far right hate mongers fear......
An educated, African American woman who is a self made BILLION...not million, but BILLIONAIRE that could buy each and every one of you haters on here including Sarah Palin and STILL be rich. In a nation where wealth is power, Oprah has it and you haters just can't stand that. Palin couldn't hold up to Oprah and if she had any sense she WOULD go on her show. Who ever heard of Dr. Phil before he was on Oprah? Some writers became household names because of her. You right wing jealous haters keep right on hating as Oprah gets richer.

I have managed to stay away from all the blogs since the election was over. I decide to come to the ticker and all I see is the same bunch of right-wing, completely irrational, nasty, comments I saw before the election.

All the people trashing Oprah need to get a life. Oprah is someone who came from nothing. NOTHING! But, she used her brain, unlike your beloved Palin and made something of herself not by her looks or her trash talk but by hard work and by trying to help people.

I will never forget being 12 years old and watching an Oprah show in which they were discussing sexual abuse and realizing that what had happened to me as a young child was wrong. That was back when people didn't talk about those things. But, Oprah had the guts to do it. That show changed my life. I can guarantee you that there are millions of people who's lives have been changed because of Oprah's advocacy work including sexual abuse victims.

What does your beloved Palin do but use her poor child as a campaign prop to score political points. I never heard of any groups for the mentally disabled that she's working with have you?

In my opinion Palin doesn' t deserve to lick Oprah 1000 dollar shoes.

Hey Me; Is your religion better than other religions? FYI, JC was jewish and a prophet. Nothing more.

As far as Palin, after 8 years of listening to Bush brutalize the English language, why would anyone want to listen to the hillbilly from Wasilla?

Way to go Sarah!!! I wouldn't bother to give her the time of day either after the way she made such an offensive & exceedingly excessive show of biased support for Obama. I applaud you lady for sticing to your proverbial guns.

  20. Red or Blue?

The real problem is that Oprah is a racist who would not be interested in having an intelligent conversation with Sarah Palin. She would only want her on the show so that she could boost her ratings by being rude, ignorant, disrepectful and gloat about her "man" winning the election. Why should anyone put themselves through something like that? Intelligent and Oprah don't really belong in the same sentence. I for one lost all respect for Oprah, along with Barbara Walters and Whoopie Goldberg during this election. True color haters really do shine through. And in this case it was red vs. blue.

Palin did interviews with REAL journalists. When Oprah came out in full support of another candidate, she forfeited her right to interview Palin with any notion of neutrality. Conflict of interest. Period.

Oh, and another thing. "nothing can compare to this." Wow, easily one of the most shortsighted statements I've heard in quite some time. Some bigger events in US history . . . I'll just name two – July 4, 1776 and December 18, 1865 (13th Amendment ends slavery).

You Americans sure are pathetic – and dumb! No wonder scholastically you rate near the bottom in the world. Some third world countries rate much higher than you turkeys. What the heck is going on with you people? You're supposed to be a world power but you're all stupid. But it's not your fault. Your gov't wants to keep you dumb so they can manipulate you. It worked with Bush, you dummies!

Way to go Sarah!!! I wouldn't bother to give her the time of day either after the way she showed exceedingly excessive and extremely biased support for Obama throughout the entire campaign on her TV show and in interviews. Truly irresponsible and almost completely expected for someone in the "entertainment" industry these days. I absolutely applaud you for sticking to your proverbial guns.
