Has Palin snubbed Oprah?

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Oprah says she wants Palin on her show."]

(CNN) - Did Sarah Palin snub Oprah Winfrey?

That's what the most popular daytime talk show host and fervent Barack Obama supporter appeared to suggest in a recent interview with the entertainment show Extra.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over... I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”

Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she refused to invite the former vice presidential candidate on her popular daytime show.

Earlier this week, the talk show host announced she will tape her inauguration week show in the nation’s capital, and has rented the Kennedy Center’s lush Opera House – which seats roughly 2,300 — to serve as her studio.

“There are not even words to talk about what this night means,” Oprah said of Obama's inauguration. “Everybody keeps using the word historic — there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth… Nothing can compare to this.”

Who cares? Oprah's not the end all and be all, and Palin's old news with nothing to say worth listening to.

Oprah is racist, she only cared about getting Obama elected and wanted nothing to do with Palin until after the election. Oprah "snubbed" Palin during the campaign, and she doesn't deserve anything from her.

...just my two cents on the "there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth" comment.

Unfortunately, when Oprah makes these comments she makes herself look really silly and ends up committing one of the worst American "sins": thinking that something that happens in America is "world wide" (e.g., World Series, World Champs, etc. for North American sports).

Even without making religious references I can think of a better example: Nelson Mandela

That is a far greater example of a "planetary" accomplishment.

By the way, Oprah, the inauguration is at 12 noon on January 20th (not at night)...

i am surprised that "that" camera hog has not taken ms. winfrey up on her offer. she would certainly have most of her peers to get her points across to. also there was a survey and a documentary stating that the people that voted for obama were not informed. as i recall neither was palin. she did not know the requirements for the job she was applying for. where does that leave her. she just says what ever spills from her mouth without thinking. oprah stuck to her standard. she was not going to use her show as a political platform. the election is over now. i would like to see palin go on the cbs news at night again. she was great in that interview. tsk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry to burst your bubble Oprah...BUT what about South Africa and the death of Apartheid with Nelson Mandela's election victory? How about India's self rule after achieving independence from Great Britain? Bottom line, planet Earth has and will continue to see moments like this. While it is indeed a special watershed moment. unique to our nation..the proof in the pudding will be what Obama can do with his newly found position.

Boo Hoo. Oprah snubbed Palin now she cries foul and feels snubbed because Palin wen to another media source? Hey Oprah, you didn't want her during the campaign because you only supported your messiah – Hussein Obama. But you want her now because you need to keep your ratings afloat. Shame on you Oprah.

Can we all get over the" Biggest Loser" ever put on a Presidential ticket. Palin's only appeal is that of a freak show. Like at a carnival, the pictures on the outside of the tent have more appeal than the "freak" inside.

me: The Presidential inaguration is a real event that will be witnessed next month whereas the birth and death of jesus christ is a fictitious event.

Oprah's an Elitist, Obama is an Elitist, and the democrat party is full of Elitists. Sarah Palin is above their elitist bs and is more than smart enough to know what a sandbag job the O would do.

The only thing historic about the coming inauguration is that this is the least qualified candidate ever elected, a complete do-nothing empty-shirt. I hope you enjoy the ride, as it's going to be a bumpy one.

I cannot for the life of me understand why people take such issue with Oprah endorsing Obama and subsequently not inviting any other politician on her show. She has the same rights anyone else does and that is to back any candidate of her choice.

I also would celebrate in Washington at the Inauguration if I were her. In her lifetime she lived to see an Afro_American man win the Presidency of the free world. It really is quite profound.

Who cares? It's time for Sarah Palin to go back to her job of serving the Alaskan people instead of desperately running around trying to stay in the spotlight with the same media she blasted during the election. Ahhh, Republicans are nothing if not incompotent, self-serving, and hypocritical.

  24. Race does not matter

MLK had a dream that his children would one day not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Obama's shady and criminal friends and political connections speak volumes about his character, he that toucheth pitch shall be defiled.
Obama was elected because of the colour of his skin, and everybody closed their eyes to the content of his character. How racist.
