Rove vows to 'name names'

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book."]

(CNN) - Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

Once you become the president of United States, you have 4 years (or 8 years) to prove yourself and set up legacy. Unfortunately for Bush, he failed to have good results. No matter how you spin, historian only counts on the results and facts.

Karl, you're part of the past, thank God and no one cares about you and Karen Hughes trying to rewrite history as we speak. The country has moved on and so should you. Your dirty tricks, lies and attempt to rewrite history by continuing to lie, along with Bush, are no longer relevant, again, thank God. Instead of working on Bush's legacy team, unbelievably before he leaves office, tell Bush to at least act like he's still President by trying to help solve our financial crisis. Oh, I forgot, Bush is the reason we're in this mess. Bush has never accepted responsibility for anything he ( and you) have ever done and never will so save your lies and "treats" for someone who cares. We don't. Bush is the worst President we have ever had and nothing you say or write will change those facts that speak for themselves! Why don't you actually serve your country Karl by enlisting in the service so you can learn what honor, duty and service to our country really means.

Why do people who are mean spirited become such sissies when the table is turned on them. Maybe Mr. Rove can go tell his mommie that he is being picked on.Possibly he and Rush could share some feel good drugs and commiserate together about their respective miseries.

Good for's time someone stepped up and defended our President and his administration. The truth needs to be told. No one better than you, who seemed to be in the middle of everything. Can;t wait to read the book.

A few months after John Ashcroft's book came out, I saw it for sale at the dollar store! I look forward to seeing Rove's there as well!

Add me to the list and call it out...I never accepted him as president either. So what...If Rove has a list of people who did not bow to his and Cheny and Bush...that seems to be an Honor Roll! Good for them. Can't wait till all the people in the Bush crowd are GONE!

The stupidity of the comments to this story makes me fear for the future of our country. "Democracy is dependent upon an educated citizenry" Most of the replies are so steeped in hatred that they can't have facts destroy their attacks. Here's a thought....stop the diatribes and get all sides of a story. These are the same people who think that on Jan. 20th the world is going to change! They should get a life and make their own luck instead of wasting all this effort on hatred.

A book listing the names of everyone who thinks Bush is a moron, a liar and a traitor?

That's going to be a mighty long book!

Note to Rove: You too are a traitor, a liar and a moron. Go back to Texas where you might still find some people who like you.

Can't seem to find "Joe the Plumber's" book at my neighborhood bookstore yet so I guess I'll just have to wait for Rove's book. Or better yet maybe I'll just wait until the MOVIE comes out!

I am going to name a name of a Washington insider who helped bring this country to its knees morally, ethically, economically and politcially. One who helped administer a misguided and misrepresented pro war agenda, drove business out of the United States, and allowed corporate corruption to run rampant at the expense, litterally, of the American people.

    His name is Karl Rove...

Gosh Karl, that's what happens when you steal elections. Live with it.

In case you hadn't noticed, Karl, tens of millions of Americans and people the world over never accepted Bush's "legitimacy." What happened in Florida in 2000 will remain a dark stain on this country's history. And then you & Bush decided that a 500 vote "victory" was a mandate for radical change and cynically exploited the tragedy of Sept. 11th for political gain.

Go ahead and name names, we'll make sure to send them all thank-you notes.

I guess it's going to be a big book if it's going to contain the names of 80% of America's population. I think it might be easier to name the people who did support the worst president EVER.

Oh noooo he's going to name people that didn't like Bush. That will be a huge book then as he will have to place over 50 million people in it, and that will be the US publishing too.

No one really cares what Carl Rove thinks at this time. Moreover, history will speak loudly and clearly regarding G. W. Bush, his legitimacy, competence, legacy as well as his inept administration.

To the person from Ohio whose letter was deleted:
Why does it take your state so long to count votes?
Not enough fingers and toes in Ohio??

Karl Rove knows his political career is doomed and he's attempting to take others down with him. When you sleep with dogs you always come up with fleas.

This is going to be a very long list of those of us who never accepted Bush's presidencies as legitimate. The book would probably be only
two pages long of those who did – one being the title page.
Surprise! I'll bet Bill Clinton's name is on the top. Republicans love to blame him for everything – even their hangnails.
Doesn't sound like very interesting reading – I'm yawning already.
