Jack Kemp diagnosed with cancer

(CNN) – Former Republican vice presidential candidate Jack Kemp has been diagnosed with cancer, according to a statement released Wednesday by his consulting firm, Kemp Partners.

Kemp is undergoing tests and plans to remain in his business and other activities.
