Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

The vast majority of people did not believe the 'rumors' that were spread. Period. She brought the negative image on herself. If she didn't want people to talk about her kids then she shouldn't have brought them into the spotlight every chance she could. And I have a beef with her trying to explain the fact she is ignorant about issues beyond 'talking points' by saying they were 'gotcha' questions. Every single question that she called 'gotcha,' were legitimate questions whose answers should be expected of by the American people from a vice presidential nominee. This has nothing to do with partisan politics and everything to do with the individual. In my opinion she was unfit to run, and I saw the policies and stances espoused by Obama as better than those by McCain.
If only Sarah Palin could produce a video of herself actually giving birth to Trig, then perhaps the press would believe her. Oh, but she might have switched the baby, so we would need to have that video date stamped. No, she might have faked the date stamp, so we'd need to have witnesses. Oh, but the witnesses might be paid off. So it would have to be someone we could trust. Oh yeah, we can't trust anybody. There you have it folks, iron-clad proof: She's lying.
This is fantastic. As much as anyone dislikes Palin personally, she is the most efficient point of articulation for the impending collapse of the right. Their doom is the inherent freedom of information that the internet provides, and attacking it only provokes an opposite effect than they can predict within their narrow perceptions.
Is it really such a good idea to for such an illiterate person to keep the provoking the blogerati, presuming of course that they are just an easy target, the next cheap "other," for the same trite conservative attack politics? Keep it comin lady! You are the best blessing there is toward the demise of the right! Ah, the self-fulfilling end of GOP politics... life is goooood...

I wondered to myself, what other kind of countries would they be. She constantly spoke of PE Obama and Bill Ayres and claiming that he was a "Pal" to a terrorist. She claims that Bloggers lie. She is the center of her world and the problem is that she cannot come out of that center because that bridge that would be her transport out was not completed. After funding to that bridge to nowhere was cut off, then she says, "THANKS BUT NO THINKS". To late then lady. It is already gone. It's kind of like saying "ABORT, ABORT" to stop the car from running off the cliff after it is already airborne. My mom used to tell us the old expression of, "It's better people think you a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt" . Well she is beyond that so now she should go someplace and hide for a while and read some news papers and or law journals including Supreme Court decisions.

Is Sarah Palin relevant to ANYTHING anymore? Sarah....you were made fun of for your comment about Russia being viewed from Alaska because you made the statement as if seeing the other country strengthens your relationship and your foreign policy credentials with it. Some Key West-erners can see Cuba from Key West, but that doesn't qualify the Florida governor for the executive office!

every time i hear her, i cringe and for other reasons then just the obvious–she sets women back 50 yrs, i was offended for women when she was picked and i had listened to her after the inital speech at the convention–she is so low on the intelligence scale that to have ever thought she could be this nations #2 in command is just beyond the pale. and further she tried to make the point in a recent interview that the dems would have loved her–she needs a drug test....and maybe we should give candidates some type of intelligence tests BEFORE they can run–you know like current events...etc
