[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”
The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."
After more than 4 hours (!) my comment (see below) is still "awaiting moderation" by the CNN editors. Maybe it wasn't liberal enough for them (?) .....
Like her or not, she is absolutely right. Many, mostly liberal, bloggers did, in fact, take many of her quotes out of context. For all of us not to believe that Trig was her son was an insult to her; and for those of you who took the "I can see Russia from my back yard" statement as ridiculous, check your geography books – you CAN see Russia from Alaska!
This woman is as nutty as a fruitcake.
...just like the media elected Obama, they pummeled Bush and now Sarah Palin. They are disgusting people to even ask a question about Trig's parents....where do they come up with this stuff. Well, I am sure it won't be long for them to pick on Obama either.....some of it is starting already...infighting about the latest funds released by Bush at Obama's request....the house dems cannot leave it alone and are not above more fighting within their own party...and it does sound like Obama is trying to do the right thing....and he's not even in office yet.

So was there an answer in her ramblings? Regardless the page has turned, the fifteen minutes are up. Are the people of Alaska shaking in their boots each time she opens her mouth and they realize that they elected her to office … I hope so.
CNN- Let's make a deal-
If you can get her as a contestant on "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" and she wins the million dollars, you can keep reporting on her.
If not- please make her go away. She had her 15 minutes of fame.
I'd rather watch Paris Hilton's dogs take a bathroom break? can't you cover that?
The CEO of her state? That is how she sees herself?
This woman is nuts and she does not let go. I thank GOD McCain did not win. Has anyone at CNN sees what goes on the Alaska blogs like at adn.com? It is wild-it is havoc-I think Palin is a drama queen still in high school like emotionally because her nutty comments are creating more craziness each day and yet she continues.
Just Go Away Sarah.....
I will shore up shore up the real truth about gotcha Sarah Palin. Most of the racist white men and women are madly in LOVE with Palin! Reason? She is a gun tooting, retarded, simple and never mind about the english language! To the racists she oooz sex ,racism and gives the impression of keeping minorties in the toilet.! Her supporters knows she is dumb but they beleive she would take this country back to the 50's. McCain used her as his prop but it didn't work. White skin and stupidity doesn't work in this country anymore. She can forget about 2012 because, most republicans can't stand her. When she opens her mouth she reminds me of a toilet. To James + Ja (same person).I hear that you are retarded! what are you doing on this website?
If any of you Palin supporters are interested in facts check out andrewhalcro.com to see how your "American Idol" is running Alaka into the ground, has fufilled NONE of her campaign promises and is bankrupting the state. Mr. Halcro is not someone blogging from his parents basement, he ran as an idependent against Mrs. Palin and unlike her understands Alaskan issues.
My only question is this; "Who the hell would name their kid 'Trig', anyway?"
Without going into obvious detail, it would have been both physically and medically impossible for her daughter to have been the mom of Trig. That was nothing more than a lie. More lies and fabrications have been said and repeated about her by the uninformed that it is pathetic.
This will probably stay in limbo forever as I am positive that CNN screens these comments so that only the most vulgar are posted.
@ Jim, yes, you can see Russia from Alaska, only on a remote Aleutian island where the residents have never seen Mrs. Palin and MOST have never HEARD of her. Get the Cheetos out of your ears and GET INFORMED!!!!!
Sarah and Bush are two peas in a pod; neither will ever admit to doing anything wrong and both are among the most unpopular politicians in America.
"She does herself a disservice to even mention it really. You've got to plow through that. You've got to know what you're getting into."
Palin says "any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism...I think, man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, women in general, wanting to progress this country."
SO Sarah and Sarah fans what do you think now? Looks to me like Palin is hurting progress by continuing to "whine".
She is so hot. She's definitely a GILF! But if she wishes to stay considered as such, she should really just shut up.
You subhumans who are blogging your lies and hate against Sarah are just proving her point. If you can't stand her why do you even bother – I find it hilarious that you keep on going with all the disgusting remarks. some of you say – oh I just will never blog another thing, oh I can't stand to read anymore about Palin, along with other comments and yet you keep on doing it. she must really get under your skin. I love it and hope she keeps it up. And by the way the media is loving it too because they keep it on here. And you all are just sucking it up.
"Jim" – not just a simpleton, but a bored, anonymous pathetic blogger apologist for Palin. That's even worse than the basement-dwelling blogger type. Honestly.
This is a losing battle for her – reminding everyone about how she was so diminished by the media only reminds everyone about how little substance there was to begin with.
She'll be on "Bad Girls Club" next season. What a joke.
Sarah, stop talking to the media!!! It is better for everyone to think your a fool than to open you mouth and prove them all right. Do yourself, and your family a favor and SHUT UP!!!!
Jim, when was the last time you saw Russia from Anchorage?
The fact is she was a "not ready for primetime player." McCain's vetting was poor. Hopefully she will be ready in 4 or 8 years to mount a serious political challenge.
I am a Republican and behind closed doors you can believe that the majority of us thought she wasn't qualified and prayed if elected she would have enough time before asked to take over. But she is cute, you have to admit that.
who cares? she's trying to stay in the media spotlight but nobody cares.
I watched part of the confirmation hearings today with Hillary Clinton and the one thing I can offer to Ms. Palin. Go back and study, and watch carefully the questioning that Mrs. Clinton went through and when you think you can answer questions as intelligently and with the knowledge behind your answers - then return to the political arena you think you deserve.
People, listen to yourselves, or at least read what you say after you write it. For goodness sakes, the Media is going to her. Maybe she has a point, why is it that we know more about her clothes and baby-mamma-ishness (I doubt that is a word either) than we do about Obama's so-called ability to reach across the aisle ? With a strict party line vote percentage of 96%, he was ranked 12th in Senate. As a matter of fact, the top 32 partisan Senators were all Democrats. McCain was ranked 65th. Or how Obama in his short two years in the Senate rose to #2 in the list of Senators who had accepted money from Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac lobbyists ? Second only to Chris. Dodd ! Whereas McCain was ranked 62nd ? Or how about how Obama is credited with getting $97.4 million in pork barrel spending for his state, and McCain took $0 ? Or how he sat in a church pew for 20 years and learned or at least heard nothing his minister was preaching ? or how HE got rich by providing a product that people wanted – his books – and actually used capitalism as a method of redistributing wealth of others to himself ( applause here), rather than depending on taxes to do it ? Capitalism seemed to work for him. Or any other questions that the media SHOULD have asked him but did not. For fear of hearing the answer ? for fear of exposing their mentor ? out of hatred for another party ? We all have hope, we all could use some changes, but honestly, you know nothing about the person you put into office. I HOPE it works out ok.
I'm sure if the media stopped paying attention to her everyone really would let it go.
