Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

Is CNN going to report on every interview Governor Palin gives to local press? This obsessive behavior is quite unbecoming of a major media outlet.
By the way, 3 anonymous sources from within CNN have stated that CNN executives have actively pushed for the destruction of Sarah Palin because of her apparent political viability. Good luck with that.
Let's be done with this pathetic woman. There are so many more under-exposed people and causes worthy of putting the spot light on. I'm really tired of mindless, clueless and soulless individuals becoming very wealthy and popular because of the stupid sh#* they do or say!
Let's make 'character' cool again, and stop sinking to the lowest standards to stay amused or entertained. Let's put bettering yourself from the 'inside', or educating yourself at least about the profession you've chosen back at the top of the list of ways to improve your life.
I've got 10 and 12 year old daughters I'm trying to raise. I do want them to know that they can be a Governor or President. However, how they carry themselves is what makes all the difference(OBAMA).

If you keep having this desire to print non-news stories from people completely incompetent and incoherent and non-sensical, why not just interview third-graders and post the results?

I believe that Trig is Sarah's baby, since he is a Down's Syndrome child.
It is more likely for an older mother to give birth to a Downs Syndrome childe than a young mother. Makes sense to me.
She does admit saying she could see Russia from Alaska. She might want to remember that you can see Canada to and no matter what she thinks, they are a foreign power and a smidge closer than Russia.
The most important thing that she did was the flip comments and the continuation of the "Joe the Plumber" charade. That sunk McCain's run for presidency and I don't see him being able to run again next time. The support just isn't there.
Sarah needs to understand that not all Republicans are Thumpers or New Conservatives. The Republican party has lost us "paleo" conservatives. There are other candidates that match our needs more.
Mrs. Palin, the problem is not the media. Its that she has not been forthright in answering questions about anything. I don't think most people care one way or another whether the child is hers but the fact that there has not been a straight forward disclosure of medical records or a straight forward explanation regarding the events surrounding his birth – flying from Texas while in premature labor, knowing the baby was disabled – has cast doubt on her own honesty and integrity. For a woman that claims to have studied journalism she must have been away the day that the course on role and responsibility of the press to investigate public figures was taught.
Yawn and move on....

She talks about how she has been treated, but yet she had people all riled up, not once, but a few times, when she accused Barack of 'palling around with terrorists' If she does not get a little more smarts, as well as not saying 'stupid' things, she can never run for President. What a joke!!
If CNN publishes one more stupid headline about Sarah Palin, I'm going to stop using this site. I'm completely serious about this. Being that she's no longer running for Vice President, how can CNN justify running at least 2 stories a day on CNN.com with her name in the headline? How exactly is she basically the most newsworthy figure in politics right now?

Sarah, you still don't get it. Nobody argued the fact that you could see Russia from your house. They objected to your claims that just your vicinity from Russia automatically gave you foreign policy experience. THAT was the problem with that answer, and no it was NOT out of context.
With the whole "Who is Trigg's real mom" thing, all you had to do was release your health records which you said you would, but very slickly avoided doing it. That would have shut people up for good, unless there was something in there you didn't want them to know...

Like her or not, she is absolutely right. Many, mostly liberal, bloggers did, in fact, take many of her quotes out of context. For all of us not to believe that Trig was her son was an insult to her; and for those of you who took the "I can see Russia from my back yard" statement as ridiculous, check your geography books – you CAN see Russia from Alaska!
Do you think that any democrat who negiotiated a 60% pay increase wouldn't be under investigation. Sh continually told lies on the trail about "the digging going on back home." When the pipeline is ten years from starting and the bridge to nowhere that we have her on tape saying she needed in the debate. About selling the airplane on e-bay. She was against teaching advanced sex education in schools and then ends up with the family situation she has. She has two severely disabled sons at home and now a son-inlaw and daughter without a degree of GED. I'm not saying she can't be Governor, but I would stay a little closer to home instead of telling us how to live. Some of the people in the "bad areas" have done OK without her.
How did this woman get to be so perfect in just one lifetime? And its uncanny that everything negative about her is from fringe sources full of cooks and losers, but all positive press is right on spot? the funniest part is you can see Russia from Alaska, it's just that you have to be on a rock in the middle of no where, one that Palin had never been to at the time she said that, and the part of Russia you see is another rock in the ocean. So to put it back in the context it was so maliciously taken out of, if they are watching Russia up there for us, they are probably pretty bored by now.
Now, I don't think it really matters who Trig's mom is, nor do I doubt Palin had the child, but seriously, this story is hilarious. I feel bad that I contribute to her continuing in the news by reading this crap, but it's sooooo funny.
By the way, CNN had a story about that and most people on that island didn't even know who she was.
with all the problems we are facing here and abroad, can't Palin think about anything but herself and her 2010 election plans? Enough already! I am tired of hearing her and about her. The rest of us have moved on – she should, too.
