[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”
The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."
I'm tired of hearing Palin slam everyone for her losing the election. Be a woman, Sarah, & take some responsibility for your actions!
Enough of this Monday morning quarterbacking from Palin! Palin appeared ignorant because she is ignorant. The media didn't make her that way......she came that way! Why doesn't she focus on Alaska's problems, (they seem to have plenty), and continue to stay "outside" D. C. and leave the limelight she so desperately seeks to the real politicians.
Spoken like the true trailer trash that she is !
Sarah, no one cares. Really, please give it up, or go join your "alikeness" Wurzlebacher reporting from the front. Your 5 minutes ran out some time ago. You have misoverestimated the publics interest in you.
GO AWAY!!!!....so what the bloggers say. You are an uneducated, fame seeking, lousy mother with an unwed drop out daughter who can't seem to get the father to the alter. But back to governing...Explain this please..how do you intend to balance the budget for Alaska when it is based on $58 a barrel to support the welfare state Alaska is considering oil is now $38 a barrel!!!
Ms. Palin – the point isn't that you can see Alaska from Russia (which apparently you can, from a couple isolated spots. The point is that you claimed this boosted your foreign policy credentials along with some other ridiculous claims about Russians flying over Alaska. Congrats, you can see Russia from Alaska. The news and the terrible terrible bloggers know that you can, in fact, see Russia. They also know that that doesn't mean anything.
Furthermore, I wonder if you have actually been to any of those few random spots in Alaska and actually seen Russia?

GO AWAY!!!
who cares ?
Go Away Please!!!!
WHY do you continue to report on Palin? Please, let it go.
Palin needs to review her journalism lessons. Triple-checking by a news source shows due diligence, in part precisely due to the misinformation out there. I am trained to double-check if someone's name is John Smith, and magazines and newspapers - not all by any means, but some - hire fact checkers now who do exactly what Palin describes, which is triple and quadruple check facts, in part to avoid libel and in part simply as best practices. She should be thankful a media outlet is checking its facts; there's a long and honorable line of celebrities who have had grief because of sources not being checked and double checked. And she was in the media, she should know that journalists are trained NOT to necessarily believe everything they hear, regardless of the source. It's not always practised, but if the Pope comes out and says the sky is blue, journalists should in theory find at least 2 more sources to support that viewpoint.
HAHAHA...I wish she would've been "callin' some of the shots." That way the outcome of the election would've been known far earlier. She just has no clue.
WHEN MCCAIN PICKED YOU, HE MUST HAVE THOUGHT HE
WAS OPENING A STRIP BAR, NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.
It's a sad reflection of the USA when we show the world we have the moral perspective of The National Inquirer. She provided proof she shouldn't have in the first place and still the sicko Pirahna keep biting. I'm fed up with being made to look like I don't care about the running of this country by flippin' anuses. Grow up and be adults.
Palin should understand that keeping her mouth shut will help her from looking stupid. She doesn't get it...there's a ultra minority who are interested in hearing what you have to say, the rest of us love watching someone make a fool out of themselves in public. Palin, people are laughing at you.
Palin is perhaps the numbest person ever to run for office. The republicans are basically extinct-and she's been a real help for that. That and an equally numb person-joe the plummer. With a cast like that-throw in george bush and you can see the overall intelligence level.
My dad used to say dont talk to the republicans about sex cause they'd give sex a bad name. I think he's right.
Bravo Sarah! Just shows the press and bloggers don't know what to say when a straight-shooter levels with them instead of hiding behind half-truths and the outright lies of most politicos. Keep up the good work!

Go away Mrs Palin !
Wow, I can't remember the last time I saw a public figure implode so quickly. At first I actively disliked her, now I'm beginning to just cringe and feel sorry for her every time she says something.
One of the worst mistakes John McCain made was pick Sara Palin for his running mate. My god have we not heard enough from her already. I'm from Canada and I've had enough. She can't admit that she was just not intelligent enough on a wide variety of subjects to help win the election. And her attitude about the media, gimme a break, what do you expect ,your a public figure and this is the path you've choosen for you and your family. And you want to blame everyone else for that too.
All this palin smearing is getting ridiculous.
wow what a crybaby

-That just made my day... Thanks Sarah!

Welcome to the political world...as long as you are in the limelight it will work both ways..take a lesson from Obama and be cool..you don't see him whining about the groups compiling 'evidence' that he is not an American. At lease you have been spared that!
