Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

YAWN!!! As usual with this woman, it is always someone else's fault. The reason people continue to question the parentage of her last child is because:
    1. The matter of her daughter's hasty and conveniently timed exodus from school
    2. The timing of the announcement of her recent pregnancy
    3. The fact that Palin flew on the very night she gave birth (when most doctor's suspend flying after the 7th month)
    4. Palin's refusal to release her medical records like the other 3 candidates did

I don't know, nor do I care who the kid's real mom is. I'd just like this woman to go away! If you hate the media and the "anonymous public" then don't put yourself in the position of interfacing with either.

To be perfectly honest, I don't give a flying fig who Trig's mother is. I do find this woman with her immaturity and horrific command of the English language to be extremely irritating.

yea, that's it... it couldn't possibly have anything to do with YOU! YOU could never do any thing wrong, it must be everyone else's fault, because as we all know YOU are perfect, yea that's it it's everyone else's fault. GEEZ when does this woman stop blaming everyone and everything else for her own shortcomings. GO AWAY!

If she is letting it go, why does she not just go away and keep her mouth close. People need to have knowledge to answer questions and she does not have it.

Sarah – enough – you had your 15 min of fame and there are a lot of important problems to solve - they do not concern you -

So ... rent some DVDs ... watch Russia from your porch ... go shoot a moose .... but go away already... we are tired of you, Trig, your husband, your kids ... as well as Alaska - go home and leave us alone!

I'm sorry that Mrs. Palin feel's that she's being attacked by the media. It has to be hard for any human being to have to deal with such hard judgement on every aspect of her life. That being said, I feel Palin needs to grow a back bone and deal with it. Palin attacks the media and her running mate like a spoiled runner up beauty queen. She puts out the air that she's the victim on every subject, totally innocent of every charge laid against her. Yet Mrs. Palin seems to have forgotten her saying Republicans were the only real Americans, and her wanting to be in the media spot light during the elections. It can't be helped that when she is asked questions, she sounds like a uneducated backwoods hick. The media isn't slanting her image or making her be portrayed that way, it's the way she is. So my advice to Palin, stop being a baby. This woman is the leader of a state and had wanted to be a leader in the nation. If she turns is to a cry baby because she's picked on, what other seniros would she cave to?

Maybe to be President, you have to use full words and put the "G" in "ing".

That is, if ya wanna be callin' the shots.

What a maroon, as Bugs Bunny used to say...

To all you naysayers, just remember what the Clintons did when one reporter stated that their oh so precious daughter (who is 28 years old) was 'pimping' for her mothers candidacy! Oh it was so reprehensible, yet all you pathetic losesrs who never do anything wAN to malign someone who was viciously attacked by the so called journalists in the media.
So when she just takes questions and interviews AND RESPONDS DEFENSIVELY (they seek her out, not the other way around), and talks about what happens she is at fault?
She runs a state something the great BarAck has never done and now he is going to show us the way to recover? GET REAL!!!
To all you blog head idiots, enough already of your stupidity, none of you can hold a candle to what she has done, and she didn't do it to enrich herself like the Dems always seem to do.
So I say to you, just go away you bloghead twits.

This reminds me of Tweety Bird's famous quote, "I did, I did, I did see a Putty Tat" The difference is that when Tweety was asked the question, the question was "did you see a cat". It was not whether she was an expert on the affairs of felines or cat litter.

No matter how she spins her lack of competence she remains pathetically unqualified for the office of VP or president. Even more pathetic is the number of people who voted for her.

"You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked..."

Okay, let's include the context: "How does being governor of Alaska provide you with foreign policy credentials?" "You can see Russia from Alaska."

Yikes, Sarah, I can see your point! When taken IN context, it's total not mock-worthy!

Please, stop printing this WOMAN - we don't care about these hillybillies or their baby daddies!

She is just like Bush - trying to recreate history.

Governor Palin is great. That is one reason she scares the Dems and the Lib Fem bloggers so much. Unlike Caroline, the Governor can articulate a sentence and a paragraph without "you knows" and "ums". I think that little old Universisty of Idaho education has certainly paid off for Governor Sarah (interupted, of course, by the need to pay her own tuition and had no free rides), unlike the high flying Harvard/ Columbia one that did not even teach its graduates how to speak. Governor Sarah Palin is a star and will continue to come on strong in the Political world. Love the Gov!!!!

You have nothing to blame but yourself, lady. You put yourself out there, you opened your mouth without knowing anything, and you made mountains out of anthills. And you wonder why people don't support you, or even tolerate you? Grow up and take a good look at your life.

Isn't it time for Ms. Palin to go away now? Her 15 minutes is long over. Every time she opens her mouth I am even MORE convinced that America made the right decision with Mr. Obama. I certainly hope the Republicans work hard to find better than her for the next ticket they attempt to get elected. For someone who loved the public limelight, she sure does whine about it alot. If it wasn't for Tina Fey I truly don't think Ms. Palin would have received near the attention she gets now. And Tina Fey was exploiting Sarah???? I don't think so. Get over yourself and move on.

And where did Governor Palin get her information that President-elect Obama was "pallin' around with terrorists" except from "bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie"? What goes around comes around, Sarah.

Get used to it Palin... If you want a real career in politics get used to people digging into every aspect of your life. You did the same exact thing to Obama. You lied around every turn, and tried to have them dig into his medical and birth records.

There is an old saying... Something about getting out of the kitchen.
