Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

She went to 4 colleges in 5 years to learn how to read a teleprompter, her accomplishment, using her perky personality to fool the people in Alaska that she is a politican. She has a Downs baby, which millions of women have everyday, tries to push her believes on others while being a total hypocrite. Now she whines that the media let he show he stupidty and somehow some way it is their fault! Please, unless she blows up something or kills something from a helicopter we do not care!!!!
It would help if she acknowledged that both Republicans AND Democrats have had to deal with this. The irony, though, is that she faithfully voiced the fears of rightwing bloggers on the campaign trail. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
I get the feeling that Palin didn't understand what was true or false about Obama (because she'd never paid attention to the election before she was nominated), she only knew what was true or false about herself. So 1. she knows the bloggers are full of it by looking at how she was treated and 2. she's still totally unaware of how much she smeared Obama by voicing righwing bloggers' claims.

It's best not to keep reminding voters how golly gosh darn dumb you are if you want to have a realistic shot at running for Prez in 2012. Oh please nominate her republicans, please.

You are really quite amazing. Not only do you have a full time job...you do don't you...and are a full time mother and a new grandmother...and bring home the bacon...or venison...you also have time to grant interviews and complain about bloggers and the press.
I am merely a grandmother, caretaker for my mother and working full time starting up a new business in these most difficult times. I barely have time to think.
I suggest you buckle down to your job and family. Your 15 minutes is up!
I just wish that she would go away. Does anyone really care what she says/thinks? I wish the "media" would leave her alone so that maybe she'll fade back into obscurity.
How many lies did Sarah tell on the Campaign Trail? How many anonymous fake bloggers did she quote as gospel? If Alaskans are smart, they'll vote her out of office and never give her another public job. I can guarantee the American people won't give her one.

When Katie Couric asked Palin How she kept up with world news and any other new sources. She could have easily named the “blogosphere” as a source, since she is so captivated by the bloggers information. I had to laugh when she finally named a news source 4 months later after the interview! Now that statement was something to archive, right next to the original interview! Just think going back on a test 3 months later and asking the teacher to change your grade because you finally figured out the answer! All her teachers need to be looked up and fired immediately! I guess she “winked” her way through school! Sarah needs to stop blaming others for her own shortcomings. CNN Please stop reporting on her she shows her stupidity everytime she opens her mouth.

So.... it's EVERYONE else's fault but her own that she has the reputation she's got? Okay, I will give her the fact that the media has pounced on her when she's made mistakes and goofs, but the fact of the matter is that she's made a LOT of mistakes and goofs! She gives the press SOOOOO much to work with!!
As for the baby thing.... while I personally think it's stupid of the bloggers and whomever to say something like that, I also must point out that it's not just Palin that has bad and coo-coo stuff said about her! What about all those rumors about Obama not being an American citizen, going to school at a madrasa, being a drug dealer, and who could forget that he "pals around with terrorists"!! The BIGGEST difference with Palin is that she RESPONDS to it, and won't ever just let it die down, whereas everyone else ignores it because they know it'll eventually kick to the back of the field. It's Palin herself who keeps bringing it up, and as long as you bring it up, you make it fair game for people!! She just needs to leave it alone! Of course, then what else would she have to talk about that people would actually want to listen to? I guess it keeps her relavant.
It's a wonder how this woman has any time to govern the state of Alaska when she spends so much of her time actively and purposely making sure she is the media center of attention by feeling sorry for herself.
This only proves this woman is more of a "nut case" than we originally thought. The media has to let her go away..... Any intelligent woman would not want this woman in the public eye anymore!!
