[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”
The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."
Goooooo awwwway. If you think you have any chance whatsoever next time, you'll not continue to make a fool of yourself now. What a maroon.
No presidential or vice presidential candidate went through the extreme level of scrutiny that Barack Obama had to endure. Palin is a nation of whiners all by herself.

The way the media treated Sarah Palin during the campaign was demeaning and disgraceful.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her coy smiles as her Conservative supporters, in regards to President Elect Obama, cried out to 'Kill' the 'Terrorist' or 'Arab' wasn't at all disgraceful.
After all, her 'maverick' supporters were only putting 'Country First', right?
Sarah, you are the Queen of Lies. From the second you stepped on the national stage. Trying to hide your daughters ilegidimate pregnancy with a blanket over her stomach and holding the baby, to your bridge to nowhere. You never stopped. Your biggest mistake is to think you are smarter than the American public. Your not. Your an idiot. Go away.
The biggest lie is the one she told herself – that she was qualified to be VP. She needs to realize that her selection was just a political tactic designed to appeal to disenchanted Hillary supporters, to get the Evangelicals mobilized and to diminish any bounce Obama might have gotten from the Dem Convention. So if you break it down, the qualities that put Palin on the ticket were that she was an unknown woman who appealed to religious extremists. Not very flattering credentials to start with, but incredibly, those credentials became even worse once we found out a bit more about her.
What will it take to make this woman go away? Her 5 minutes if fame has long gone. She is nothing more than a huge McCain miscalculation. Can we get on with the real world now?
Yet again, she mangles the English language. Seroiusly. "Alikeness"?????
She's entertaining. And I think if I knew her personally I'd probably like her because she has a lot of self confidence and charisma. But, she's also not too bright, and overconfident. The Trig thing is something people don't believe and don't care about in the first place. It's a lifelong endeavor raising a child with Down Syndrome and my hat is off to her and I hope she and her family manage it the way so many other families do, with love and balance. The other stuff – some people can't see the forest for the trees. She called Obama a pal of terrorists. She openly questioned his patriotism – not because she belived it – but to get elected. The media has a responsibility to follow up on actual, real news. They should pursue and report the facts. But I agree with her sometimes the facts they choose to ursue are hardly newsworthy.
SARAH, SARAH, SARAH. Please stop further humiliating yourself.
CNN, please find some real news to report, that we acturally care about.
Whatever>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
This is a non story. She needs to quit trying to keep her name in the news. Go away already. All it does is remind me of all the lies she told while on the campaign trail and how she tried to incite people against people. She may be a "maverick" but she's certainly doesn't know how to unite people.
@Simon "She also says she has "….got a lot of great life experience…" Such a description is virtually meaningless – it's not even literate English – and on that basis, countless millions of Americans could run for the Presidency!"
One did, and he actually won with no more experience than Palin.
There is really very little left to say about this unconscionable waste of space, except that she's as dumb as a bag of rocks.
No offense intended to the rocks.
It was not "racist" for Palin to say that Obama "palled around with Terrorists."
That's the fact, Jack.
Terrorists and felons- that's the Chicago way, don'tcha know?
You betcha!
Palin is whining about the Media and bloggers and continuously playing the part of victim, yet she "thinks" she was qualified to be VP? Laughable. If she can't handle the Media and bloggers, how can Palin handle real issues?
The thing that I find most interesting is that she just doesn't get the point. Nobosy was questioning the fact that one can see Russia from Alaska, it just was not relevant to the question being asked of her foreign policy experience. That fact is more suited to a Alaska tourist guide than to a serious foreign policy question in the midst of a presidential campaign. It is her complete inability to see this distinction that is the real issue here.
I am beginning to understand why she was kicked out of every college she went to after one semester.
Why is there so much attention still being paid to this woman? Every
week there's some new story or controversy with her at the center.
I know she loves the spotlight; what else would you expect from a
former beauty queen? However, I think it's time that we just "LET HER
GO!" Please!
If she is so tired of – do as the republicans always tell us to do – change the channel. She cannot stay out of the spotlight because she can't live without the attention. If she wants the questions to stop then be open, forthright and give full disclosure. There were no "gotcha" questions. They were honest, forthright questions that anyone on earth who HAD and answer could have given. She was too afraid to answer because she obviously does not read news publications and has no foreign policy experience outside of business deals which are clearly not the same thing. She is all flash and dash and little substance. If she really wants to do good, how about doing something about the rape statistics in her state which has the highest per capita rape percentage in the entire country. She spends so much time living in the limelight she has little time for real governing. Thank GOD she is where she belongs now.
Please – Ive had my life threatened on Politico's boards simply for supporting Obama.
Seriously Sarah get over yourself. You come across like a whiney child. The spotlight comes with being in public office. Instead of whining about the press and how unfairly you've been treated why don't you try being a leader and making some positive noteworthy achievements for the press to focus on. Bloggers that lie? The only thing most of us bloggers are experts on is our opinions and thank God we still have the bill of rights that grants us our freedom to express it. I'd like to see you use your brain instead of your mouth. Stop your chronic complaining and DO SOMETHING GOOD. You'll be amazed at how the media will follow that. Give them something to focus on other than your personal life. Govern governor. Personally I'd like to see you gone from the news and back into relative obscurity. So far you haven't shown me much more than your disgruntled behavior. Her's an idea for you BE A LEADER instead of a whiner.
The more I see this kind hate and ignorance thrown at the lady, the more obvious it is that she was the right choice.
Sadly, we'll soon have the less-experienced (but brighter-toothed) Star-Search winner running our country soon.
If bloggers can get under her skin, there is NO WAY she was or ever will be ready to be Vice President.
Ah, the Palin Media Machine rolls on.
Does she speak about the 'poor, anonymous, pathetic bloggers' who lie about Obama as well? Or just the ones that lie about her?
I predict we'll be seeing some sort of media tidbit from Team Palin daily from now until 2012.
Pathetic BIMBO is more like it, turning tricks for the desperate elite conservative trash
When will this chick figure out how much damage she in inflicting on her self?
Oh please, Sarah...go back to work. NO ONE CARES.
If you're going to put yourself into the spotlight, you're going to be a target of everybody with a computer and a blog. YOU CAN'T ADDRESS THEM ALL.
You have a state to run. Go back to that, and please, oh please, stay there.
