Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

ROFLMAO, if you can't stand the heat, sweetie, get out of the kitchen. I hope she keeps it up. She's the laughingstock of the nation right now, but the right wing freakazoids love her and can't wait to make her their 2012 nominee, ensuring eight years AT LEAST of democratic rule!
Ja-either your vote with your eyes, ears, and brain shut off or you just did not pay attention during the campaign! She is corrupt, just like the guy who picked her to be his running mate. Are you not aware that she abused her power while in office? She used the full weight and power of her office to launch a vicious personal attack! She was a typical republican attack dog. How many lies, bold faced lies, did Palin tell during the election? They had nothing positive to run on so they tried to destroy their opponent. The republican campaign was a series of lies, missteps, anger, hate, racism, the list goes on and on.
She could not handle the simplest of questions, and now she blames everyone else for the outcome. She should accept the responsibility of her actions, but evidently she is incapable of this.

Palin is right on the mark. She was targeted b/c she was a Republican. Women's Rights groups twisted themselves into pretzels trying to explain why they would not come to the defense of a fellow woman, regardless of politics. Obviously, these groups see themselves as Democrats first.
Palin was also on target re the media's attack on her family. In every election, candidates always ask the media to keep its hands off on the candidate's family. The media refused to grant Palin this same courtesy.
I haven't read the media attacking Caroline Kennedy's competency as a neofyte politician. And in her desire to be a Senator, she does not have experience nor paid her dues, except that she's a Kennedy,to sit in one of the most important political positions in America. But the media did attack Palin's abilities despite her being the chief exec of Alaska.
Double-standard? You bet. And those who defend the media's attacks and hypocrisy are still defending their actions by emotionally attacking Palin. No facts. Just the usual liberal shrieking.

Palin did not do well and continues to show poorly in the media. But to me, as an outsider, she does seem much more like the usual American one meets on the streets of your country. As for the witch hunt about her childs mother it IS ridiculous; but a number of commentators mention Obama's birth certificate – you should be very careful in your comparissons; his "proof" did NOT meet constitutional standards for a presidential candidate until the evidence was put in front of the supreme court. And I have seen birth certificates from the hospital in a number of American newspapers which show who is Trig's mother.
Palin needs to go to the Obama school of media savvy. She gets slammed as a lightweight because she doesn't sound slick like Billary or Obama – she may well be a lightweight but how do we really know when her message is so deliberatly obscured by so-called journalists.

Well, I think a fellow musician here in Seattle summed it up best while discussing his regrets for 2008. He said that he regretted discounting Intelligent Design because the human that is Sarah Palin is proof that God exists and is trying to kill himself.
I have some questions for Sarah.
1. Has the Anchorage Daily News EVER run a story that gives credence to the idea that Trig is not your son?
2. Follow up – Has any other major news outlet run such a story?
3. Last question – Did you not give credence to the idea that Barack Obama was Muslim, when even your own running mate denied it?

Your teenage daughter just had a kid (while being a kid herself), and you have a new one yourself, you preach morality and "conservative values" which I guess does not include protected sex I take it? Your life has been great.. your a Governor for petes sake, I am not knocking you there, but girl, give this whole media attack frenzy thing a break will ya? You are a journalist's dream as your life as we see it is a roller-coaster and an ironically a perfect example that the "Conservative Morality" approach to rasing children is a disasterous parental approach... Hey musicman. She did release her medical records during the campaign. And yes, they verified that she mothered her son Trig.

Ok, this is just straight up McMoosie trying to reinvent herself, with old material. Who was it that said "be kind to the disabled (SP)". She still can't string together 2 sentences that make sense. And she's a Journalist? Four Universities and 6 years? C'mon. If we goad her too much, we'll see her in the next election. There were, remember, 56 million American voters stupid enough to give McSame and Failin a chance to destroy our country even more.

It was proven time and again that reports people were calling to kill him were just not true. From the Secret Service, to people at the speeches, to the campaign workers, to most media covering her, they all said those reports weren't true and made up by "pathetic bloggers who lie".

......................and the right wing bloggers were so fair and balanced with Obama. I think the questions about her youngest child was very fair. We have not seen any medical history on the birth of that child. Palin's own adminstration in Alaska said they didn't know about her being pregnant til she was 7 1/2 months. Her sexually active daughter was mysteriously absent from school the last 4 months that the fetus was in someone's body. To this day Palin has never proved that she had given birth. Secrets like that don't stay hidden for long.
Sarah needs to understand that most of the attention she got was because she is so terrible pathetic – kinda like Nicole ... oh what was her name – that vapid tramp that married a billionaire and then died in a super 8 motel in Los Angeles.
She certainly seems to be obsessed with her own image and importance. Someone this thin-skinned should have stayed out of politics where everything is game. What did she expect the response to be when she held herself up publically as a "real American" and implied that anyone that did not have her "family values" was somehow less of an American? Her unwise comments and hypocrisy are what created all of this backlash. Now she is desperately trying to do damage control and rewrite the campaign history. And she thinks McCain should have allowed her to speak more and have more say? Good grief.
