Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

I can't blame the media for continuing this sardonic saga. My advice to Sarah is to just give up, shut her dumb mouth, and stop feeding the world with her nonsensical rhetoric if she intends to run for any public office again.

Those who can, do. Those who can't become Democrats and blame everything on the hard workers (while waiting for their handout).

She still doesn't get the joke. It doesn't matter if she can see Russia from her house or not (she can't). It's funny because she claims this as her 'foreign policy experience'. What a moron.

CNN, just stop, let her go away.

The more she opens her mouth the dumber she sounds and I'm a Republican. She hates Tina Fey but goes on SNL, she hates the media but keeps giving interviews.

CNN lets make a deal, send her to Israel to report on the violence in Gaza next to Joe the (I'm not really a) plumber. I'll start a collection to pay for a one way ticket over there.

Alaska must be paradise because Palin is focusing on everything but her job up there. They must have no problems.

It's amazing to me how obtuse she is, and her insistence on blaming everyone but herself for the way she appeared to the nation.

We get it! Obama/Biden won and McCain/Palin lost. McCain gets it too. However Governor Palin does not. Instead of going gracefully into the good night to do the job she was elected to do, she continues to whine about the loss.

Governor Palin, get on with the next phase of your life and stp whining and you might have some political future. No one apprectiates a bad loser and that is what we are seeing from you!

It is over and Obama won the presidency with 53% of the vote, in an electoral landslide and now enjoys a popularity rating in the 80's, meaning even many who did not vote for him, now view him as competent and capable.

As Alaska governor, you seem to be too, even if you were not ready for prime time. Stop trying to steal the limelight and govern for the good people of Alaska.

Mrs. Palin has obviously never heard the phrase, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." She could take a que from McCain's daughter who, today, is taking the high road & not making comments about Mrs. Palin. Mrs. Palin however, continues to spout nothing but misery, sour grapes, & if-only's. Time to move on, move forward & be quiet now. Perhaps with a bit of quiet reflection Mrs. Palin will understand why McCain/Palin didn't win the election. Perhaps she will understand why she wasn't given more of a free reign during the election (she was not the top of the ticket & it wasn't her call). And perhaps she will come to see that continuing to talk about how much she hates the media, will not endear her to them in the future, when she just might need them.

Is this confirmation that she does read? Still no newspapers or news magazines...only blogs. She is also a bored, pathetic, liar as well. Is Osama-I mean Obama-a muslim friendly with the terrorists? She claimed he was many times. Go back to the hockey rink and give it up. Go back to making moose chili. You should be ashamed of your comments and ignorance during the presidential campaign.

I guess Sarah is not presidential material after all. She has no problem dishing out the lies and innuendo but can't take it when the tables are turned on her. Poor little primadonna!

Oh God her again? What is wrong with you people in the media?
Why are you still talking about an under-educated lady looking for more opportunities or fighting for her political carreer after being exposed publicly?
Don't you have anything else to put on the political ticker?
I am personnaly getting sick of this. McCAIN played a game and lost. it's up to the some stupid morons uneducated so called rednecks in the GOP party to continue to listen to that stupid lady or move on. There are so many GOP propaganda channels they can go to and support their queen.
CNN do us a favor, stop talking about her. It's shamefull for this country to keep puting a potential VP that can not put a coherant sentence or argument together on the spotlight.
Hope you post my remarks if you really promote freedom of speach.

CNN – not a news story.

It seems she won't stop talking anytime soon, so you have to stop printing it.

What does this article add to all the other ones since the election where she says she should have had 'more control' and the 'media is out to get her'?

We are still focused on her family yet when M, Obama said she has never been proud of her country Obama said she was off the table. The media left her alone but Palins family is fair game right.

If the Media is not bias then explain this.
