Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

It's not even "people who are smart" – it is anyone with beyond an 8th grade education who can see that she is an imbecile.

think Sarah Palin is the only breath of fresh, honest, and moral air that there is on the political front today and instead of hammering her all the time, I feel she should be recognized for what a great and inteligent person she is. It is my hope that she will consider letting her name be placed in the hat for the presidency in 2012. By then, WE WILL REALLY BE NEEDING A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. God bless you Sarah, keep up the fight. There are a lot of us with you.

Ja You don't go out much do you? If so you can't smell sorry but fart from Mccain is NOT a breath of fresh air.

It is about time she fights back! All she did was run for office and put up a good fight. While I agree that she was not quite prepared to become VP, she doesn't deserves all of the hate from media and you posters. ............ “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.” funny it sounds like she was refering to the posters here at CNN!

It's a shame she doesnt realize her true value is only her pretty face. Maybe she will join Bristol up on the pole after she's out of office. If we're lucky maybe she'll get a reality show or even better maybe Hefner will call with an offer!!

I am extremely tired of seeing Palin's pathetic attempts to stay in the national media. The only silver lining is that Americans will grow tired of her posturing long, long before the next election cycle.

Many of you are SO FILLED WITH HATE for this woman, it's sickening!

I thought liberals in coffee shops, with lap tops were about tolerence?? Everyone demands gay rights, animal rights, this right, that right and EXPECTS others to respect them, but I say, look in the mirror. Look at the venom coming out of your mouths!

    HYPOCRITS!!!

Although I did not support Palin as a VP candidate...my decision was based only on her positions on issues and lack of readiness to lead our country. Not on her hair style, family dynamics, or being from Alaska. I agree with her that she has been treated with contempt and a level of venom that is unprecedented. Being ridiculed because she is from Alaska, the attacks on her family and her daughter's pregnancy and the unfounded accusations about her son's parentage are indeed pathetic. As for the continued coverage in the media. The CNN article states that she is being ASKED BY VARIOUS MEDIA to grant interviews. Clearly these media outlets believe she is still news worthy.

So once again I implore the folks who post on the CNN Political Ticker board....can't we all raise the level of discourse to one that is respectful and constructive? The current level of vitriol is shameful and truly damaging to our collective future.

Is CNN intentionally posting comments with huge spelling and grammatical errors in order to display some kind of "meta-irony" in regards to the people bashing Palin? "LULZ SARZARH PULIN IS DUM!" – John from Kindergarten.

I'm no Sarah Palin fan, but some of you people have such a poor handle over the basic syntax of the English language that you may very well have a future in writing the speeches for her 2012 presidential bid.

She wishes she had told the McCain campaign advisors that she'd be callin' more of the shots? I'm positive they would have listened to her – yep, right.
She was put on the ticket to be the VP candidate – since when does a VP candidate inform the Presidential candidate that she'd be runnin' the show too? Poor poor deluded Sarah – she honesty thinks she is a factor anymore?
I could care less about who the mother of her baby is – statistics lean toward her being the actual mother with the 'age of mother/downs syndrome' factor but she needs to just z i p it up.
She did more harm in the campaign than anyone else and never once tried to quiet the crowds she incited.
    Be gone Sarah.

Sarah Palin. The biggest example for what is wrong with this country. By polarizing her views, and solidifying the Right through her hate speech, she is going to bring about the final death blow to the GOP.

    Keep it up Sarah!

But if you think you can get 300 million people to support you, without

    1) Lying
    2) Cheating

    Then you are wrong!

    Sarah, please go away...

On second thought, don't go. That will ensure Democratic majorities until the end of time.

What an arrogant woman!! Please, never ever come back to the lower 48. I can only imagine the depravity that would ensue should this woman ever get near the White House. She's no breath of fresh air. She's EXACTLY the same corrupt politician as most of them. And that's why you get hammered, Sarah. Beacause you act like you're different and you're not. You are a power hungry female dog. SHUT UP!!

For love of all things precious to mankind, can CNN please stop picking up on things this woman says! How is this of any importance to me? To the mortgage mess? To the credit crunch? To the lack of universal healthcare? My point incase it was missed is that SARAH PALIN IS OF NO IMPORTANCE. Now if CNN would simply stop making a point to care, she will get the point that WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT SHE SAYS – which is usually something nonsensical anyway!

Please CNN I beg you, help us in making this woman just fade! She is a pathetic sore looser who has in her shallow fantasy filled world that her words are of some importance to us. Let her go back to school and get a real degree and then maybe, just maybe she can have a better Katie Couric interview!!!

You're an insult to strong women everywhere, if you were to ever retain the high office of the presidency(God forbid), it would be a slap in the face of all the progress women have made in this country thus far.

Its pretty obvious why CNN is giving Paling so much undeserved attention.

First, We all know the liberal bias of CNN. Then if Palin does by some chance get the Republican nomination in 2012, its pretty obvious how badly she will go down in flames, something like Mondale in 1984. So, CNN is just giving her all this attention to see the Republicans nominate her (I truly hope no one can be that stupid) in 2012.

So, to all Liberals out there, keep hoping that Palin keeps getting all this attention. To Conservatives: lets try to bury her as fast, deep and far away as possible.
