Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

Personal responsibility no longer exists in the republican party...it's always someone else's fault.

Lie and then quickly call someone else a liar to redirect attention from your own lies. No need to do your homework or seek education that could further your career, just point fingers at the media when you screw up or look stupid.

Oh, and dish out accusations and critcizm, but cry foul when you are forced to take it (Ann Coulter taught her that).

Sarah Palin is the poster child for why the republican party keeps losing elections.

One feels a teeny bit sorry for Sarah Palin. It's clear from her comments that she is boiling with anger because the media and the bloggers exposed her family's trailer trash values to the entire nation. How fortunate we Americans are to have rejected her and McCain. She is welcome to stew in her own bile for the rest of her pitiful life.

Deceit has caught up with the Republican party. She's just one of the recent victims of people no longer believing what Republicans in general have to say.

Did anyone realize there is a tiny smiley face in the bottom left corner of CNNs webpages?

She can't go away if dozens of media outlets want to interview her. The media is to blame for continuing to keep her a topic of interest.

POOR LITTLE SARAH: Now that the election is over, she is now available for seemingly unlimited interviews. Truly not ready for prime time.

The fact that Governor Palin did not submit her health records during the campaign aroused suspicion and she created the problem for herself. Many wondered why someone with her beliefs would agree to a Sonagram– a procedure which offers women information that might result in an abortion. Her response to the Sonagram that showed a Downs Syndrome fetus rallied support but no records of that Sonagram have ever been produced. Palin politicized her pregnancy. It is in the public record. She is vulnerable to questions. She loves the attention.

Mrs. Palin, Please, just because a loser with serious PTSD issues chose you as a running mate, don't let it go to you're head.

Go Sarah! The liberals fear you because you are genuine and not hypocritical like them. Where are the feminists to stick up for you? The entire left is built on intellectual dishonesty and keeping the poor poor so thhe left can stay in power. I love reading their frenzied wailing posts.

I couldn't care less about Trig's paternity and I seriously doubt if any relevant number of people care. Can't Palin just vanish?

I wonder if my theory from many months ago holds up. Palin was chosen by McPain because he knew he could not and would not win. This way he had a scapegoat, knowing good and well she was the most incompetent person he could find for VP. The smokescreen was that she is a woman. He could and did bow out gracefully while poor ignorant and stupid Palin is still running around making a fool of herself. Not bad strategy. However, it is REALLY time for her to go AWAY. The average American is smarter than her and we all have figured that out by now.

you people are pathetic. this is why i don't come to CNN to get my news. i just pop in occasionally to see what the leftist lunatics are up to. too funny.

Sarah Palin is notorious for lying. How can she accuse anyone of lying when she has serious problems telling the truth.

She is so incredibly pathetic trying to explain her way out of saying that she can see Russia from Alaska. Taken out of context my foot – she used that line to justify her foreign policy experience. Will Palin ever admit that she a nerd?

It's hypocritical for Palin to say anything about lies after their Rovian-style campaign.

A toast to pathetic online bloggers everywhere and their hard work ridiculing moronic politicians. er, correction, in some cases it's not so hard to ridicule at all – Sarah Palin for example.

I don't understand why her son's birth is even an issue. I don't live in Alaska, so I maybe I am missing something. Is there a reason to believe she isn't Trig's mother? If she isn't, who would it be? And why should she even have to prove it. I mean, she delivered Trig in a hospital, didn't she?

    Seriously CNN.

No one wants to hear about Sara Palin anymore. No one wanted to hear about here when she was McCain's running mate.

She obviously can't handle being famous if she publicly insults her fellow Americans living up to the responsibility of fulfilling their First Amendment rights, so stop making her famous.

This woman belongs no where but on one of those little novelty calenders with the stupid quotes.

Just by reading the ignorant attack remarks made here makes me understand even more what Governor Palin is about. The fact that some of YOU don't get it makes me very concerned about the future. Governor Palin is smart, articulate, honest, educated, kind, and a great mom, wife, governor, etc.
First I ask myself, how OLD are these people making such stupid comments? And then I wonder how EDUCATED you are? For you to say JUST GO AWAY – well, just WHO do you think YOU are? Most of you are not even worthy to lick the soles of the Governor's boots let alone make stupid untruthful remarks! You haven't seen or heard the last of the awesome public servant and leader known as Governor Palin. Besides, those of you who make such hateful unfounded remarks wouldn't have the round objects to tell the Governor to her face what you feel so at ease saying here. Sarah Palin in 2012 to pick up the pieces from the Obama.
