Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

Well here you all go, once again proving that the CNN comments section is the nesting grounds of the self righteous left wing social bigots. It just amazes me that both the main stream media and you morons think nothing of attacking Sarah Palin and her family with some of the most disgusting personal attacks imaginable. Then you are outraged over the poor parody "Barack the Magic Negro" but at the same time think it was hysterically funny when SNL accused Todd Palin of incest with his daughters. The next time you people look in a mirror realize that you are looking at both a hypocrite and a despicable bigot.

You people are filled with such hatred. Your parents did a sorry job of raising you. It is not okay for you to say anything that pops into your empty heads. She was responding to a question the papers asked of her. I am sick of the direction American is headed and you people are the reason. No respect, no boundaries, nothing.

The media has colored our view of Palin with a dark and fuzzy crayon. We have come into an age where we let bloggers, late night tv comedians, musicians, and Hollywood brats do our thinking for us. That is evident from many of the posts here. Governor Palin has every right to be angry and vent. I am surprised that she is as constrained as she is.

Judging from the article's "update", which includes portions of the Anchorage Daily News e-mail, she still has her hat and shoes on backwards. When will she end her "Pity Party"?

Ahh guys, let her talk. She's much better to look at than the Dumbo and Bean Pole that got elected, and she's not completely stupid; even a broken clock is correct two times a day! And quit questioning whether Trig is her baby: I can guarantee you if I was married to her she'd be pregnant! Heck, if I was her daughter's boyfriend, she'd be pregnant, too. Same with any other red-blooded heterosexual American male. So why doubt it? So what if there's an empty spot inside her cranium; Dubya was empty-headed too, but at least Sarah is easy on the eyes. When you look that good (especially at 44) a little airheadedness can be overlooked. After all, you overlooked it in 2004 when you re-elected Dubya, and he's not nearly as cute as Sarah!
Sarah, baby, I'll vote for ya. Please come stump at my house! 😉

She says in the article "You have to let it go." Yet, she want. Who's the pathetic one? Go away and stay away. CNN – stop reporting on this ignorant woman!

My Goodness! When are you "Obama Kool-Aid Drinkers" going to stop
hating this poor woman (and her kids)? Your guy won the election
and you are "STILL" so full of hatred and rage for this woman, your postings almost sizzle and smoke. I wonder how angry would you be right now if Obama had actually "lost." What a bunch of
hate-filled, miserable people. It's going to be a great 4 years!

Sarah Palin is the figurehead on the bow of the ship of state
for the state of Alaska. Alaska really is no longer a "state".
    It's a colony.
A colony controlled by the Exxon Company that thinks it bought Alaska when it dumped its filth across the shores. It had polluted the North shore earlier and the Exxon Valdez did the South.
As colonial controller of Alaska, Exxon pays the taxes for everyone.
This, in itself, inspires Alaskans to be Republicans.
Republicans, as an ideology, want someone else to pay their taxes.
    This is their "creed".
    They forgot one thing.
In a democracy, it's the taxpayer that pulls the strings.

No. Don't send her away. Let her continue ranting.
The more she says, the deeper the grave that she's digging for her own
political future. Its almost as if she's unaware of how much damage she did to her party by running for VP, while realizing that she's almost entirely
    incapable of running this country.
By all means Sarah, say on!

Poor Sarah, Poor Poor Sarah! You are so misunderstood. It seems Sarah is the one that's bored and pathetic, from the post-election blues! When anonymous bloggers lie to the rest of us how wonderful they think Sarah is, we know she won't be complaining about them.

Palin's constant ranting and raving makes her look less and less credible, at least to me. I'm beginning to wonder if she has become mentally unbalanced, or has overactive hormones–or both. Her absurd behavior only increases the negative perceptions people have of her.

She continues to damage her political future and has no one to blame but herself. I agree with the majority of the bloggers who wish she would just shut up and go away! Of course, we enjoy writing about her. Don't we? Thanks Sarah, for relieving my boredom. 😉
