Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

Let's see...Palin bashes the media, yet she's been giving interviews non-stop since the election. Sh's annoyed by liars, yet she repeatedly made false unsubstantiated claims about Obama's "ties to known terrorists" and fully embraced Joe the Plumber, an idiot who wouldn't know a pipe wrench from a plunger. She regrets not taking a stronger leadership role in the campaign. Her intellect and life experience served her well in her interviews with Charles Gibson and Katie Couric.

Stoners interviewed by High Times magazine make more sense than Palin.

As long as people respond to her, instead of hitting the ignore button, she will be here everyday for the rest of your lives.

The hatred so many people still have for Palin is incredible. I'm sure if there was some way to calculate the total number of man hours and dollars that U.S. and foreign news outlets spent trying to discredit this woman, the whole world would be absolutely appalled.
Seriously, the fact that journalism spent so much time and so much money trying to dig up dirt on Palin and all they ever came up with was that the RNC bought her some expensive clothes and that she fired some dupe who wouldn't fire a corrupt cop should tell us all something.
The fact of the matter is this: if you don't live in Alaska, her decisions don't affect you, so STOP complaining. And considering her popularity there is still over 70 percent in most polls, she must be doing something right. I find it odd that so many people leaving comments here wish she would go away, then glorify a story about her by leaving comments. THAT seems hypocritical to me.

Does this woman REALLY have a job? You have to wonder were she finds time to keep up with this protracted whining.

For those of you who want her to go away, you certainly are not ignoring any of the articles that are put out there AND are taking the time to read them AND then post a comment. There are lies and misconceptions on both sides. I think she is a very "real" person with a real genuine family whose lives are now analyzed, challenged and criticized by anyone just to keep fueling the negative behaviors that some of you hold on to. She was thrown out to the media wolves by a poorly run campaign. I am feeling hopeful with Barack Obama taking office next week and that this country will eventually heal. Let's leave all that campaign cr*p in the past and let Governor Palin and her family live their lives without all this scrutiny. The election is over and we have much more important things to do as we move forward to being a better America.

Ok...... first things first, all bloggers including me for the most part, relate their views, and feelings, on a particular topic(s). I for one have never viewed a fellow bloggers story/view as the truth of truths..... If a blogger were relaying something they declare as true, as a thinking man, I'm going to go and investigate........ Palin just doesn't get it........ she messed up her own campaign, plain and simple.......now yes the media was a bit critical, but believe me, if Palin were on the right ticket, she'd have gotten America's vote, in spite of media bias...... Anyway, it's kind of crazy to talk about scrutiny, in a year where we as America have elected a African/Caucasion American as president....... Plain and simple, Obama was ready...... McCain(was)/Palin wasn't........ In my view, I believe Hillary Clinton prepared Obama for everything to come after their battle......... Her campaign left no stone unturned, while trying to convince Americans that Obama wasn't ready........If Obama wasn't ready, (and remember he was not the fav. pick to come out of the DEM party) he would have never made it past the Clinton machine........... Oh yeah doesn't Sarah pal around w/ drug dealers? Bristol's mother-in-law......lol just a friendly shot of her own medicine.

The way this issue of who the real mother of the Palin baby is was explained to me is that even though Sarah was functioning as governor last spring, no photos of her ever showed her looking pregnant. Not in February, March, or April.
Along with that it's said that her daughter had taken a leave from her high school education, and was kept out of sight.
Seems to me a few photos from those months might clear up the issue.

Let me think this through. If Sarah seeing Russia makes her a foreign policy expert, I can see the moon. Does that make me an astronaut?

I do hope she doesn't go away though. The laughs every time she opens her mouth are priceless.

I want to thank Palin, not to praise her, u blocks u stones, u worse than scent-less voters.

I will run for VP in 2112, for the RNC. When asked what newspapers I read, I will say, MAD magazine of course! I am best qualified in Foreign affairs because, it got so cold in northern Minnesota last night, when looking out my back window I COULD SEE ALASKA. LOL

I'm no fan of Sarah Palin, but seriously.

Listen to yourselves. You're all pathetic. If it were Obama complaining about personal attacks on his family by the media, you would be flocking to his defense, cooing sympathetically and telling the stupid 'unfair media' to go stuff it.

But because you disagree with her politically it's okay for people to say crap like that to her, and you ridicule her for defending herself? You are all the lowest of the low. A rational society has no use for people like you; you are a setback to the progress of the species.

    Try some introspection.

Even President elect Obama said that "families and their business" should be off limits and refused to comment about anything to do with Sarah's family! As for her she is trying to defend her family which she should not have to do! The election is over (as many have said) and for all of those that wish she would "go away" they should stop listening and watching her every move and focus on the moves that are being and will be made from the President elect – soon to be President. As for Palin don"t worry she will be back in 4 years as a front runner, maybe by then people will be ready to focus on politics and not her family!

Sarah Palin is a living, breathing example of what remains to be fixed in America. She is a disease in a society fighting for its health and giving her the time of day only further spreads this disgusting pig's dreams of the collapse of American ingenuity and spirit.

Let's all agree, regardless of party or politics, Sarah Palin is simply bad for America. She's not a bright individual. She governs a state that has barely 0.3% of the US population living in it. Her skull to brain size is roughly proportional to the size of Alaska and its population. Let's not take this woman any more seriously than we have to. She's an insult to America's intelligence and the day that this mockery goes away will be welcomed with open arms not just by discerning Americans, but by people everywhere who are still in disbelief that this fool is a part of the government of the most advanced, wealthiest, and strongest nation in the world.
