Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

It's time for this pathetic loser to go and do some serious reading–on economics, history, politics, evolution, and above all the Constitution.
She might learn the names of the countries that signed the North American Free Trade Agreement, and other arcane information of that sort that was far beyond her grasp during the campaign.
Or, alternatively, she could conclude that she is best suited to other types of work–like being the animal control officer for Southwest Juneau–and give electoral politics as such a permanent rest.

Sarah Palin, is obviously hiding something, otherwise why not be forthcoming about why Bristol missed her last semester of high school, and why the refusal to answer any questions about her pregnancy?
Whatever she's hiding probably reflects poorly on her judgment and on how she's raised her daughter.
I didn't vote fo her, but gosh, the election is over, and she was put under the bridge by the media. Just because she is conservative. I have been extremely disappointed in the democratic media this year. Every woman who ran for office was unfairly trashed. Does the democratic party really stand for women? I really have to think about this now. My voter registration is now independent. Disagree with her policies ... but quit bashing women.
I am confused! All these people say they are sick of reading about Palin, but they continue to take the time to click on the links and read and post about her. Evidently they aren't nearly as sick of reading about her as they say. Thou dost protest too much!!!

OMG. Last March or so, it was Palin, in an interview, complaining about how Hillary was doing such a disservice to women everywhere. That women are expected to be under a microscope and have to be strong to face that... and, she didn't want to pick on Hillary ( sure ) and she hated to say it... but she thought Hillary was 'Whining' too much. Doesn't this woman realize – the campaign is over, the people have spoken. If she plans on running at a later time, she should just keep her mouth shut about the past campaign. And you know that old adage.. it takes 2... Well, it's a shame that in all the interviews and clips shown since the election, that Palin has not taken one bit of the blame herself, it's always somebody else's fault..

Most of the bloggers here don't seem to understand. These complaints aren't really about Sarah Palin. They are part of a concentrated conservative propaganda ploy about how the dirty liberals pick on conservatives. Oh my!
It has worked for them and self styled "Christian Martyrs" for years. The same thing as Bill O'Rreily's "War on Christmas". Or the phony "they are going to take away our talk radio and silence freedom of speach!" (which I never heard of anywhere until the blowhards started screaming about it every day, complaining about the Fairness Doctrine, which it turned out no one was even attempting to reinstate.) The examples go on and on. In the NBA it is called "working the Ref."
It is as phony and disingenuous as you can get but it makes the press lean over backwards to be "fair". In spite of the overwhelming preponderance of conservative talk radio running down anyone that even marginally doesn't agree with them, the fact that the "liberal media" is owned almost exclusivly by Conservatives and 65% of all reporters are registered Republicans most people actually believe the fallacy that the press picks on conservatives. People should leave the Palin's alone. That her daughter made a mistake is evident. I have always found that those who are throwing stones have made as many or more mistakes in their lives. It always takes one to know one. I voted for Obama but have a daughter of my own who is 18. As a parent I know I can talk with her but if she makes a mistake I will be there for her just like Palin's were for their daughter. I think that shows a strength in character to not judge another like so many are willing to do. I work with so many kids who parents have turned their backs on their own child. It is devastating to that child and where they end up in life.
She definitely wants to keep her name out there...but this isn't the way to do it. This stupid petty stuff just confirms what we already knew. She's a wacko...
Sarah Palin is a very decent and honorable woman. Governor of the great state of Alaska and equal to the task of running the government.
Regardless of who won the election, she deserves to be treated with respect. The blogosphere has treated all the candidates poorly and had the media so confused.
The real issue here is media apathy for checking sources. CNN is one of the biggest outlets to blame.
Maybe folks should listen to what Sarah Palin is saying and hold the media accountable for false reporting.
The reason people keep asking is because you never answered nor proved any of your numerous lies and half truths. If Trig is not your son that is insurance fraud SP, once again the issue with you is ethics. The whole story smells, a 40+ woman flies 12 hours after her water braks,with a high risk preg.,then drives 50 miles to have a one month premature baby,but no records are ever found, you did not tell anyone you were preg.,daughter was out of school for 5 months before "you" gave birth. Trig was an awfully big baby @ the RNC to be premature and 5 months old ( bet he was born in Feb. or early March full term). For months we listened to you,lie and lie, and lie about PE Obama but you never really addressed all the issues around yourself. Sarah WHO BUILT YOUR HOUSE???? Was Ted Stevens you Contractor?

wouldn't give interviews during the campaign but is now giving tons of interviews, however they are with the conservatives who will go easy on her. since sarah has a degree in journalism she should know that bloggers are not the media – and as long as she puts herself in the spotlight, bloggers are not bored.
