[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”
The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."
sarah you pitbull in lipstick (your words not mine). please go away. we are sick and tired of you ignorant rants. you blame everyone except yourself for the negative blogs. if you would go away, take some englsh lessons, get more education, learn about world events (outside of alaska), maybe, just maybe people wouldn't be so hard on you. they aren't telling lies. its the truth and we all know the truth hurts. we all know you find it hard to give up the limelight, but really. the time you send trying to defend yourself from yourself you should be spending that time taking care of your children, running alaska in the ground and your new grandbaby. also you could be using this time to help your "PAL" the drug dealer. you know the lady that is the mother of the baby daddy. sounds like a full plate to me. so begone sarah
Well, Sarah, when you repeatedly lied during the campaign, specifically you kept saying that you were against things when you voted in favor might be the reason that no one really believes anything you have to say
God Bless America and God bless us all that you did not make it into office, no matter how 'maverickly'
Yeah, I'd say all of Palin's comments sound pretty accurate. But the sadder thing is all of the gullible folks who believe what the "bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie" say. It's one thing to say it, it's another to be dumb enough to believe it.
Bored, heading to anonymity, pathetic state governors who don't matter anymore...
THIS bored, anonymous, pathetic blogger thinks you're an idiot.
As HST once said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
The whole thing is part and parcel of politics in 2008. I'd like to see the world return to the days of the Christian Science Monitor and The Manchester Guardian (the new Guardian is a good paper, put not a great paper), but that's not going to happen. Sex and scandal sell, when circulation climbs, so do ad revenues. It's all about the money. But Palin should appreciate that. She's a Republican.
BTW, Palin's buddy Coultergeist isn't known for her veracity. The woman would diss Mother Teresa if she thought she could make a dime off it.
Gov. Palin, stop talking about your children, and move on!!!!!
Hey Sarah, don't you have some "actual responsibilities" you need to be attending to? I would imagine it's kind of hard to do that when you're giving interviews all day long.
The woman is absolutely nuts! She is trying to redeem herself and prove she does know something, but only succeeds in further showing how unbalanced she really is.
She goes on and on and on. She is really smarting.
I felt the campaign really turned ugly with her and she brought out the worst in people.
If she was used as a spokesperson for what McCain wanted to use her for, she still allowed it and the nation said "thanks but no thanks!" Thankfully!
AND, she still doesn't answer the question on Trig. I had decided the baby is hers, but now I don't know.
Airhead! boring! Stupid!
Get a Life!!
Yawn....................
Please, CNN and the rest of the media, let the Palin story die. Palin is not news – she lost – it's over. As she says: "what you have to do is let that go."

Why is she still talking???
WELL "SHE' MUST HAVE THE TIME TO READ THE BLOGGERS OR ELSE SHE WOULDN'T BE COMPLAINING. Please CNN stop making news on everything she says or does.....you are just encouraging this young women and making waves in the Republican Party.
Governor Palin,
I can only hope that you will run for President in 2012. I am a
registered Democrat but you will most certainly will have my vote!
Oh, for lack of better words Katic Curic behaved like a school yard
bully and a jerk.
Thank you and hang in there.
.
Didn't Tina Fey just slam bloggers as well? Could it be that Sarah Palin and Tina Fey are, in fact, THE SAME PERSON?
The world hates you, get it?
I'd like to see Sarah Palin stay in politics. We need more tough minded women who aren't afraid of stating their views. And she is correct, if you listen to and believe everything the media spits out you probably have a very skewed view of the world.
Hang in Sarah and keep up the good work....
She put herself in this situation by simply being who she is. The Russia comment is funny because of what she said afterwards and how unsure she sounded. I wish she took more leadership so the ship would have sank faster. She is a perfect canidate to be mocked because she lies, flip flops, and postures as something she is not.
This is the second Palin story THIS MORNING.
ENOUGH ALREADY
Palin's at 14:50 of her 15 minutes...
Gov. Palin: You lost the election – it's over. The American public has much on its collective plate with the economic disasters befalling us all. We don't care about your petty complaints. You are old news. Perhaps you feel a need to keep your name in the news over trival matters, as that may help with your multi-million dollar book deal.
Govern Alaska as you were elected to do, take care of your special needs child, your teenaged single mother daughter and her infant. Put you attention where it matters and stop thinking you matter to Americans – because you don't.
Ya know if she would just shut up and live her life, quit commenting on everything... things would die down. I think she likes the Soap Opera stuff to keep things going and going. I am SOOOO Glad she wasnt Voted VP!!! Can you imagine her in the white house?? WE would hear it everyday (well we do now but MORE SO) on her trying to save her reputation..
Just shut up and sit down and maybe she will get more credibility MAYBE!!!
There is no question that bloggers lie. But I would suggest that Palin watch her own words. Her commentary during the election, particularly about Obama, were rife with negative insinuations that were designed to spawn negative commentary by those very bloggers she criticizes – and those insinuations and hints were based on lies and planned misinformation. So, given the religious background she hypocritically espouses, I would suggest that she heed her own words, and not cast stones...
Why are we still paying any attention at all to this woman? "alikeness"???
