Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

Needs to just stay at home in Alaska and do her job. She never really had anything to say important to matters concerning the american people. I look at her as a glorified Mother who happens to have lucked her way into a govenorship position by tell home grown webs of crap.
Every political campaign has its lies. The smart politicians know how to deal with it and get on with the real business at hand. Like I said, the "smart" politicians get on with the real business at hand. Sarah, you keep showing us where you fall in the mix.
Governor Palin has 4 years leading the State of Alaska to demonstrate to the press and anonymous bloggers that she has the ability to lead at the national level. Personally, I don't think she can do it but that is MY opinion now. As much as she dislikes those publically dissing her, they don't have to like her. If she wants to remain in the public spotlight she has to prove them wrong. This whole "who is the Trig's birth mother" issue is neither important nor necessary. No one can question her devotion to her family. She is the birth mother, she isn't, Trig is adopted. Who cares!!??? It looks like she loves him and that is all that is IMPORTANT. I don't agree with most of her politics but I know she is not going to leave the national spotlight. She does not want to and the Republican Party as a whole probably won't LET her. Personally I hope she stays in Alaska. What I don't like about her is that she BELIEVES her success in local politics translates into the ability to lead a nation. I think the saying goes, "If my looks get me in the door, god help them once I'm inside". I think she has used her looks to sidestep a lot of scrutiny. Those NOT impressed are focusing on her blind ambition and lack of tolerance and she is fighting back the only way she knows how; playing on the sympathy of those that don't look beyond the packaging. Hoping that their voices will drown out the criticism.

"If I could give myself advice back at the begining" can be said another way... if I had had a single ounce of true election experience I would have grasped the benefits and consequences of my actions and the advice I was given by the McCain campaign... Did she just kinda, sorta, maybe admit she was in over her head, kinda like a deer in the headlights, and was not even qualified to control her handling on the ticket with all her executive skills? She could not control a few handlers in the campaign, but she was going to reform/control the true power brokers in Washington??? Not a chance.
Her place on the Republican ticket was nothing more than the party pandering for Hillary's disgruntled supporters, this a blind man could see. Does Palin not realize that she was nothing more than the rookie supporting actress who is asked by the director to do the nude scene in the movie because it is going to make it a blockbuster (because the leading acress knew better)??? How naive...
They paraded her around like a fresh idea, but she was only the fresh meat. They had her bare her soul and imperfections which was courageous and admirable on her part, then they had her do their dirty work by calling Obama every name in the book, and now not a single one of them is standing by her side. I never agreed with her, but she is a human being who took a risk few of us would. I just hope both SHE and the VOTERS of Alaska remember how she carried herself in trying to get elected to one of the most honorable positions in our government, the executive branch.
Perhaps she should go quietly into the night to avoid reminding the voters...

I don't know anyone who has any concern about the parentage of her son Trig. This "controversy' is something her and her party keep alive by continually bringing it up.
It seems the purpose is to distract from the many relevant reasons she should not be a national candidate, the most part due to the perception that she has questionable ethics and a loose (to put it mildly) interpretation of the truth.
Her failure to appear to have a strong grasp of current events and the lack of interest to learn didn't help, either.

So Palin did not have a child and we question that, but Obama not being born in the U.S. goes unchallenged. That is right he released his birth certificate, then he released another with the seal. Ironic those who back this liar cast stones on the loser. All politicians lie, some just do it better.

You know, during the campaign I hated Palin. The sound of her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. I threw things at the TV when she started on her "pallin' around with terrorists" BS. I lost sleep over the thought that there was even a slight hint of a possibility that she could have a role in national politics.
Funny thing is, now that all of that is behind us, I sort of enjoy reading about her. She's just so funny.
Sarah Palin won't go away until the media, including blogs, stops reporting on her daily rants. Any words written, broadcast, or read about her only feeds her ambition. Send a message to all media–Sarah Palin is a nobody. We don't care about her opinions or her actions, so don't bother to report on them. If you do, we won't pay attention to you.
She could just answer the questions and provide the proof and then no one would question her anymore on the topic. Otherwise, the gossip hounds will continue until they can prove her a liar.
