Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

WHY? Do we still have to talk about Palin? Let her stay in Alaska and lets quit giving her any news coverage, she is a joke and she really loves the attention it keeps her in the news. She is the reason McCain lost the election, and everyone should know that is the reason if you are honesdt with yourself. I am glad her and her Dysfunctional Family are back in Alaska, and hopes she stays there. Palin needs to quit talking to the media, every time she does , it makes her look more like an Idiot!

just a few thoughts...wasn't it palin that said that high profile women shouldn't "whine"; that it does a disservice to women everywhere? if she doesn't like the scrutiny, should she still be subjecting herself to it? sounds like someone got a taste of fame and actually likes it...and if this is all part of trying to be a viable contender in 2012– shouldn't she be doing more than just interviews complaining about the media? how about working on some sort of policy, or shaking up alaska?
Clearly, being gracious in neither the prior VP nomination nor defeat of the same is in her capacity.

Come on, people. The local newspaper interviewed her and she answered their questions..just as any of us would do. She just happens to be honest and about her feelings. Whether or not we agree with them is one thing, but I admire her for her openness. it was CNN that picked up the story and chose to put it on their website. Regarding comments to this story, they are hateful and disgusting...just what she is talking about. I/we may not agree with everything she says or her policy positions, but it doesn't make it right for people to ask that she "show us pictures of her belly" to prove her "supposed" pregnancy, call her a liar, a ditz and pathetic. When people make those kind of statements, it just proves her point and makes the rest of us seem that much more unintelligent and rude. She wouldn't have made a very good vice-president, in my mind, but I choose to share my opinions in a less hostile way.
She doesn't like lies? Hmm. Like "I sold the governor's jet on e-bay"?
Please. Enough about Governor Palin. I'd take Paris Hilton news over this.

CNN – and the rest of the media – Palin's 15 minutes of fame is up! Please stop covering her! There are far too many serious issues currently facing Americans that need to be addressed by you. Palin is a non-issue. As for her own "issues" with the media: had she not been a con artist and a liar, not to mention an ignorant politician with poor English grammar who will need a ghost writer and a darn good editor to write any book she's contracted to write (look for "Pet the Goat Part II"), she wouldn't get any press at all.
Palin needs to implement the old adage: "Less is More" and eliminate her reactive behavior. Not becoming at all.
Her "in the face" responses and demeanor do nothing to promote her political desires – she has lost credibility and any political prowess she might have thought she had.
Give it up and go out with grace.
Amazingly enough most of you that are writing comments about Palin are saying go away.. yet you're her biggest fans. You care enough to read about what she says. Maybe if you'd all stop reading stories about her they wouldn't get so many hits and think she's still important. Shut up and leave her alone!
