Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.
“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."
Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.
Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.
"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'
Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

Beyond all the misogynist "gotcha" crud you were dished during the campaign, you held your head high.
Can anyone else name which major mainstream media outlet made any kind of a disparaging comment or snicker or attack about Obama's "57 states of the US"? Answer: None. Or his other missteps, like insulting Nancy Reagan or anyone with religious convictions? Answer: None. Or his supposed ignorance of the bigotry spewed for 20 years by his pastor? Answer: None.
Or how every other interview with Joe Biden, our soon to be VP, he'd say something totally off the wall and bizarre, especially when he insisted that the word "jobs" is a three-letter word? But that the media smiled and chuckled at his mistakes and never held him up to the same light of scrutiny they did Palin? (Uncle Joe is supposedly smarter than Palin, ha ha ha). Sarah, you have my vote in 2012.
I'm not a Republican, but I'm also not a naive "kumbaya, everyone let's get along and live a socialist life" person. Scary stuff. If Obama's socialistic agenda actually WORKED, heck, Cuba would be the place to live because it would be a world power. Russia would be absolute paradise – Siberia would be the place to ski with the Hollywood libs. The US would be the downtrodden, poverty-stricken nation.
How about pathetic governors who give $15,000,000.00 hockey rink contracts to contractors who build the governor's $500,000.00 lake house for free??? Ted Stevens used the same contractors to work on his Alaska home, and wound up getting convicted for it.

I find it amazing how many people out there who can not spell, punctuate, or complete a proper sentence are accusing Sarah Palin of ignorance and lack of education. At best, you don't bother to proofread your comments. At worst, you never completed 5th grade English. If you really wish to impress others with your intelligence and Ms. Palin's (alleged) lack thereof, take a grammar course. Otherwise, you only prove your own ignorance.

When you run for one of the most powerful offices in the world, you have to be ready to take shots, no matter how ridiculous they are. Her seemingly hysteric reaction to those in the media and "anonymous bloggers" just demonstrates that she does not have the patience or fortitude to govern this nation.

Since my first blog on this story, you have updated the article to publish the Anchorage Daily News' version to say that they were only investigating to "debunk rumors". All that is is an excuse to pull bloggers' comments into the MSM without admitting that you are. This is the equivalent of trying to pick up a piece of manure by the clean end. Stay away from it....

Instead we should encourage Gov. Palin to act like nothing is wrong with her. I encourage Gov. Palin to keep talking and don't be afraid to show people your disability. If they make fun of you, they have the problem, not you. They are misunderestimating you, Governor. Stay strong. We are so proud of you. Yolu are as smart as you think you are!
I love how these Repugs talk about and insist on taking personal responsibility. Until it makes them look bad, then it's the other guys fault.

The media is not to blame for her stupidity.
She is attacked because we are all still amazed at how dumb this woman is in coorelation to the positions she has held.
I'm sure her baby is her baby, so I will take her side on that issue, however the woman is obviously unintelligent, which is why she is such a target.
I think Sara Palin is a nice person, and I sometimes think the world forgets that.
