Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/12/08/art.palinop.gi.jpg caption="Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day."](CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

I don't know why you guys want her to shut up. Every time she opens her mouth, Democrats gain votes. As Napoleon once said, "Never interupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

Just look at the ammo she is handing us: "I have a great deal of life experience."

Yeah, baby! Abstinance only ed for (pregnant) daughter. Check!

Godly influence for son – sent to the army, instead of jail, for drugs and vandalism. Check!

    Keep it coming, Sarah babe!

OMG! Can she ever shut her trap? She is a real piece of work isn't she? I don't care who fathered that kid, who had that kid, who raises that kid. I do feel sorry for her kids, she has brought them so much pain becasue she was power hungry. If she had said NO, their lives would be blissfuly happy (ignorant, but happy). But, NO, she keeps them front and center, all the time. I think that is abuse and I wish she would get called on it. Where's CPS when you need them!

If Palin keeps saying she's learned to let things go, then why does she keep bringing all this garbage up?? JUST GO AWAY ALREADY!

To the comment "When Obama's country of origin was questioned, he released his birth certificate" was a legitimate question. Our Constitution clearly sets forth the qualifications for a President. His country of origin should have been questioned. He answered. End of story.

To the comment "As for Palin's Medical records we still haven't seen whiny Palin's medical records detailing her pregnancy." That has nothing to do with her ability to be Governor, Vice Presdent or whatever. It is none of our business.

And to all those who wish her to "go away" as you put it.... I'd say you are pretty fixated on this lady or you would't be taking the time to read and/or make comments about her. With all your "vast knowledge" of her personal and public life, I'd say you were spending a tremendous amount of time reading everything you can about her. So, why don't you all just ignore it and say nothing, and perhaps it would go away.

I think at some point you have got to stop complaining. You didn't win and that is what the American public voted. I was truly disappointed when Ms Palin was chosen. There are many viable Republican candidates that are female. I would have loved to see someone like Olympia Snowe or Kay Bailey Hutchenson picked. Then I would have voted for Mr. McCain. I don't pick my vote based on a candidates stand on abortion. Ms Palin I watched you in the VP debate and one of the first things you said was that you weren't going to answer all the questions. I was shocked at your arrogance! You are suppose to represent us and we wanted the questions answered. I know that the news media is unfair, but take the high road and do your job!

"Show me the money", a great line from a fun movie. Gov. Palin, the ball is in your court. "Show me the birth certificate". When it is all said and done, if you wanted the story to go away you would have produced your son Trig's birth certificate and this would all go away. (Like Obama had to produce his birth certificate.)

I still question the decision made to fly in your 3rd trimester to TX to give a speech knowing you were caring a special needs child. Most doctors tell women not to travel that late in a pregnancy (especially a woman carrying her 5th child) and you knew you were carrying a special needs child. You already admitted to knowing this fact so why would you travel 12 hours in the air both ways. And you wonder why people question your abilities.

To all of the people who respond with comments about CNN constant stories of Sarah Palin, to remedy the problem, stop posting comments....apparently CNN realizes, although the majority are tired of hearing about her....The same people are still respond to the stories, negative or positive...Its the same thing with tabloids (Lindsey lohan, Brittney etc)...They keep pumping the filth, because people read it...

Okay all you Obama supporters(I am one too) out there. If we want the idiots who claim that Obama is not a US citizen to shut up we have to set an example and not blog about Sarah Palin's family. Sarah Palin's own statements, policies and positions speak for themselves. No need to make up stuff. Now quit lying and just enjoy the new president.

She should not even lower herself to the reduced status of the bloggers by even recognizing them. They, most of the time ,don't even matter in things one way or another.

There's someting the matter with her. Seriously...something's not quite right with her. She's off. Delusional...like George Bush...delusional. They are jokes. Pathetic. The worst. Everytime they open their mouths the majority of Americans laugh at them.

Go away. Please. Just go away. You're irrelevant.

    Gentlemen and Ladies,

stop reading articles pertaining to PALIN. If users dont check the links that has to do with PALIN, websites and news outlets will not run any more stories on her.

The fact that so many people read articles about her and then proceed to further blog on the article is the primary reason that websites are running her stories.

Rather have pathetic bloggers who lie than scheming politicians who lie. The latter lies tend to get a lot of innocent people killed.

Let her keep on talking - comedians will need more material since Bush and Cheney will be gone into the sunset.
If anyone who follows politics should know that it is one rough, dirty game out there and not for the weak hearted and sensitive types. All throughout the history of politics have been on the negative side on the most part.
When John McCain had a so called unappropriate relations with that lobbyist – he took it like a grain of salt (I am not a supporter) but he took it in stride and kept on going on with his campain.
Obama took so many shots it was just not funny at all and he was able to weather the storm, he never put any blame out there, he and his team did their campaign and won.
So Sarah Palin is whining about everything under the sun but will take no responsibility on her actions – I really do not think there is nothing in between her ears. I personally just cannot stand the woman, she lied so much during the campaign. If she was a decent mother she would have her household in check!!! Don't give me that crap stating she is a strong woman because her daughter is an unwed tennaget mother. If Sarah Palin was latin or black, she would of been ran down the railroad with responses as typical. She states she is a Christian but she displays un Christian like qualities like spreading hate, lies, deception, etc.
I believe what comes around goes around and she will get hers in the end!!!
YOU BETCHA!!! GOLLY GEE – I am just waiting for Eddie Haskell to come out the woodworks!!!

THANK GOD THIS WOMAN WAS NOT VOTED INTO OFFICE. SHE MADE A FOOL OF HERSELF BY ACCEPTING TO BE MCCAIN'S VICE. SHE WAS USED AND NOW SHE IS TRYING TO BLAME THE MEDIA. SHE DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING, SO WHAT SOLT OF GOVERNOR SHE IS? I AM SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE OF ALASKA. I THINK SHE SHOULD PROOF THAT THE LITTLE POOR BOY IS HER REAL SON. DON'T BE STUPID SARAH, JUST SHUT UP.

    SORE LOSER!!!!!

Until she show us a picture of her being pregnant and giving birth to that baby, no one would believe it's hers.

The bloggers do not lie, they just make their own comments. And if you are being the most stupid candidate of the election, then of course, the comments just reflected the TRUTH.

I think it's amusing that Sarah Palin is railing against bloggers (who lie). Listen Sarah, blogging, (by paraphrased definition) is a method by which an average person can express his/her OPINIONS via a specified site on the internet. So whether these opinions are accurate or inaccurate is purely subjective, (they are only opinions after all) and therefore the accuracy issue is beside the point of having a blog in the first place. Here's the irony of it all Sarah, it was someone's opinion (blog) that got you noticed in the first place. You seem to resent anyone who blog's against you. Well, that's basically saying that you resent anyone who disagrees with you. This attitude is unbecomming of a responsible adult, let alone a United States politician.
