A major Bush rule gets scrapped by Obama

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/21/art.ovaloffice.cnn.jpg caption="What’s missing in this picture?"] (CNN) - It's the same Oval Office. The same desk. Even the same curtains. But President Obama has already made one major change: Go through eight years of White House photos, and you won't find one of former President Bush in the Oval Office without his jacket on.

It wasn't just a personal preference. In the Bush administration, it was a rule: Jackets in the Oval Office - and now, it seems, one of the first Bush-era regulations to get scrapped in the Obama White House.

- CNN's John King contributed to this report

The question is simple. Do you work better when you are comfortable, or uncomfortable?

I don't care if he wears a prom dress, a push-up bra, and a tiera as long as he gets the job done!

Take off your jacket, roll up your sleeves, have a seat, and give us the help we so desperately need!!!

Obama is going to reverse everything Bush did just to make a statement. He reminds me of how my son acted the first time I let him stay by himself. I hope he can grow into that office someday but I doubt it.

I beg your pardon about the "Harvard Education". Sometimes all it takes is money, anyone with money can BUY their education even if they're NOT smart.

All that is needed to answer the question "what is wrong with our country", is to peruse these blogs.

From the poorest, uneducated indigent, to the wealthiest and most educated individuals, this trite and fickle mentality is becoming the building block and foundation for our own demise!

Regardless of your political affiliation, wouldn't we be better served to refrain from ignorant banter, keeping our negative sick comments to ourselves? Couldn't we instead contribute something positive and intelligent or......keep our mouths shut?

The petty, ignorant tripe I've read in these blogs, whether against President Bush-or-President Obama, can serve no purpose other than to destroy. Think of what could be accomplished if the time spent in wallowing in this filth were to be directed in a positive direction, aimed at accomplishment and fulfillment.

This leaves me with only one question:

"CAN YOU DO BETTER THAN WHAT HAS OR WHAT WILL BE DONE"! Feel free to participate....

Well , it was very openly said as an Afican American President, so the time has come to change the name of the "White House" to something more meaning full.

who cares really? I don't care if he's wearing boxers or whatever...honestly, I think Obama is getting WAY too much attention for nothing. It's kind of making me regret voting for him.

Let him do his job, stop making a big deal on what he's wearing, stop turning him into a commercial icon, and just let him work!

Oh, and you know what? If he decides to eat a cheese burger in his office next week, I don't think that's media worthy either...geebus

This is not a big deal. If working in his shirt sleeves helps him get the job done, it's okay be me. Obama has his own style and manner of doing things! I wish him all the best!

It is comforting to see that my new president is interested in issues and not show.

BigT, It really goes both ways. Liberals are upset when somebody says sometime negative about President obama, Conservatives are angry when somebody says something negative about former President Bush! Somebody's just gonna have to be the grownup! I just hate the hypocracy on BOTH sides!

Just another reminder that Obama doesn't really have a clue about being the president of the United States of America. He is in over his head. God Help Us!

For those of you who cant remember 8 years ago, the one thing Bush was big on was bringing respect back to the office. After the scandals of the Clinton years he wanted to show he respected the office. You can agree or disagree with what happened the last several years, but at least have some sense of history and understand why this story was written.

People's ignorance is shown by their responses in this blog, it proves you should have to take a test to vote in this country!

Hard to roll up your sleeves to get work done when you are worried about 'looking good' with your coat on.
    Hoya for Obama.

Ok, now can we focus on the slightly more important issues of the economy, defense, and true homeland security (not the farce Bush sold us).

How childish to pick on Obama not wearing a suit. Did it make Mr Bush better in leading the country for the last eight years wearing the suit. We are in our worst time for the last 8 years and I think the suit has to do something about it so take the suit off...Go Obama.

Do you guys have to swoon every time Obama scratches himself? BTW, I hear that the only reasons cell phones didn't work at the "coronation" was that the lights weren't shining on the chosen one.
