A major Bush rule gets scrapped by Obama

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/21/art.ovaloffice.cnn.jpg caption="What’s missing in this picture?"] (CNN) - It's the same Oval Office. The same desk. Even the same curtains. But President Obama has already made one major change: Go through eight years of White House photos, and you won't find one of former President Bush in the Oval Office without his jacket on.

It wasn't just a personal preference. In the Bush administration, it was a rule: Jackets in the Oval Office - and now, it seems, one of the first Bush-era regulations to get scrapped in the Obama White House.

- CNN's John King contributed to this report

No coat for Obama – not pants for Clinton. Gotta love those demoncrats!

No surpise here. Like the Clintons, Obama has no respect for the office. Or its traditions. I just hope the country survives the next 4 years.

You people are acting like giddy little children that have just seen Santa Claus at the mall. Obama is a man, and yet to prove anything except that he knows how to get elected.

Yeah, big deal CNN and worthy of news too!

CNN – you've become a pathetic and lousy news channel!

I would prefer honesty and hard work in shirt sleeves to the false appearance of propriety and THREE out of EIGHT years in office spent on VACATION (!).

I expect a full computer workstation is next ...

    GOD BLESS THE NEW ADMINISTRATION!

Who cares if President Obama wears his jacket while at work? I don't. Let the man take care of the country's business.

Nice to see someone actually more interested in getting to work rather than photo ops and high profile meetings that get nothing done. Thank you Mr. President.

President Obama is giving the oval-office the values for its excistance.
I always was under the imagination that when I went to office it was to get work done.
He looks good in the office without his jacket and I'm sure that it will be also the same if he has it on, because this person shines whenever he wears or is without his jachet, he has charisma.

I think some of you critics are taking this A LITTLE TOO SERIOUSLY. Let the President feel comfortable while he works. He's working, for goodness sake. Are you ALWAYS going to wear a jacket while you're hard at work? I mean, its not like he's GOING TO WEAR FLIP FLOPS AND SHORTS. A man of this calibur has the right to roll up his sleeves while he's working instead of having his jacket all the time and "seem" like he's working (e.g. Bush).

Just goes to show how out dated Bush was in his thinking. I suppose his wife had to always wear a dress too if she entered the Oval office. Hello, it's 2009, not the 1950's..
