[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/21/art.photo.cnn.jpg caption=".](CNN) - As is customary with the change in administration, on Wednesday the Pentagon hoisted the new photograph of President Obama at the entrance where official visitors and heads of state are brought in.
But his second-in-command will have to wait. Instead of a picture of Vice President Joe Biden, there is just a hook to hold the photo. It turns out the Washington Headquarters Services had not yet received the official photo of the vice president, so there was no photo to hang.
Biden is not the only number two without pictorial representation. There’s another blank space on the wall for the new Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn, who has been nominated but not confirmed.
I am sure that picture is very inspiring to the folks in the Pentagon. May God have mercy on the United States.
Thanks for keeping us informed on the most pressing issues of the day. I feel very educated now.
we had a prob like this where I work – they had pics up of management team, one time they were slow getting one up so we drew a stick figure on a sheet of paper and hung it up. They thought it was hilarious and left the stick figure drawing up in place of a photo for about 3 months.
One look and you can tell the pictures are not hung a little crooked.
Please hang the pictures correctly before taking a picture for the public to see. Thanks.
First sign that they're taking "transparency" too far...
Please consider the English in your headline. It should read different from, not than. Thank you.
HA! A blank space on the wall just like the one between his ears!
A little respect please, atleast give him time to get new plugs.
Gentlemen:
Please allow me to say, in a spirit of lighthearted Vice-Presidential good humour, a few Inauguration-related statements which you may enjoy!
First: Hillary Clinton is not the Golda Meir of our time.
Second: Neither is Barak Obama Albert Schweitzer.
Third: Al Franken is, likewise, not Robert Marion La Follette, Sr.
However, Vice President Joseph Biden is the John Nance Garner of our time.
Have a lovely.
Sincerely yours,
Caleb Boone.
