Franken-Coleman trial to proceed

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (CNN) - The three-judge panel charged with overseeing the trial brought forth by former Republican Sen. Norm Coleman has denied Democrat Al Franken's request to dismiss that trial.

The trial is set to begin Monday and will now proceed as scheduled. Lawyers from both campaigns will be present at a pre-trial hearing and summary judgment Friday, which will set the groundwork for the trial period.

I read somewhere else today that Norm Coleman has accepted another salaried job. Since he can't hols a salaried job while being a Senator, in effect he has conceded the election. This case should be dropped ASAP to save the taxpayers of Minnesota any more useless expenses.

Franken attempt to steal an election with more votes cast than there were people voting in those counties and the State wants to certify it is amazing but it's democrat where it's ok to lie, cheat and steal for the sake of "the Children"

Maybe they can stop Al from stealing the election. It's funny how he "found" so many ballots in trunks of cars, warehouses, etc.

Al Frankin is a joke, but after Jesse Ventura, I guess you have to figure the people of Minnesota set the bar pretty low for their politician's.

Geez, let's spend even MORE MONEY that the public can't afford.

Maybe these two clowns should give it up and let a normal person be senator.

Until all the votes are counted and we are sure no votes have been counted twice, this should proceed. What's Franken afraid of?

Hope it takes 6 years to resolve this election. Neither candidate deserves to be seated. As an Obama supporter, I find Franken to be almost as scarey as Coleman, and would rather see one less Senator than see Franken in the Senate.

Hilarious. Al Franken's campaign 'finds' votes, districts report more votes than people actually registered... and all you people can do is resort to partisan politics because you want a Democrat to win. It used to be make sure every vote counts, now it is make sure every vote is double counted so a Democrat can win.... pathetic.

If Franken legitimately wins... fine. If not, do you really want him in office?

I stopped being a Democrat when you all stopped actually caring about the positions you espouse. Since all you care about now is winning at all costs (don't worry I am sure your bad behavior is Bush's fault), you deserve the self-serving politicians we have in Congress. Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Dodd, Frank... they may not be fit to hold down a job as a dog catcher, but since they spout the appropriate BS, they can do no wrong.

  19. Dont blame me

    Hey,

with 25 precincts, that heavily pulled for Frankin, where more votes were counted than there were eligble voters, something is WRONG.

This needs to be resolved and somebody needs to go to JAIL.

    This is voter FRAUD.

    Hey fmr. Hilary supporter,

Stuart Smalley has never raced for NASCAR. Get your facts straight!

I'm not so sure about this Harry Reid guy. I think he used to be a boxer.

Continue the fight for what is right Coleman! I want my vote to count at least once. The voter fraud in this election goes beyond double counting votes. Not to menton the inconsistency with the State Canvassing Board!
