MN Senate trial to begin Monday

Republican Sen. Norm Coleman is contesting the canvassing board's decision to certify results of the Minnesota recount.

Republican Sen. Norm Coleman is contesting the canvassing board's decision to certify results of the Minnesota recount.

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) - The three-judge panel overseeing former Republican Sen. Norm Coleman's post-election lawsuit announced at a pre-trial hearing Friday that the trial will commence "promptly" at 1 pm central time on Monday.

The judges said that starting Tuesday, the proceedings will follow a regular 9 am to 4:30 pm schedule, with an hour break each day for lunch, adding that they aim to make the process speedy as "there is some urgency to this matter."

Coleman is contesting the recount results, which gave Democrat Al Franken a 225 vote lead.

In an interview with CNN Wednesday, Coleman said that once the court finishes its business, he still anticipates a victory.

He's just stalling. EVERY SINGLE recounted vote had to be approved by both teams, and sorry, Norm, your accounting at your office determined that YOU LOST.

Stop wasting our time and 'take a step back'. You will always have 2014 to run again.

Nice work, Norm. Sue your way to victory, just like W. You can see how well that worked out for him in the end.

Colemen is a desperate sore loser who want the court to overide the people's will. What a disgrace.

I'm still unsure why Normie even wants to return to DC. Doesn't he realize that G. Bush is longer there: whose nether-regions does he expect to invade with his nose now?

Franken and his millionare liberals cannot get away with this. The court must issue a fair ruling. If they do, Coleman will be victorious.

It’s a disgrace when you get more votes than voters. Democrat Al Franken needs to be run out of town with his tail between his legs for being the lying cheat that he is. What’s worse is listening to Democrats approve of his cheating.

Franklin why are you wasting the tax payers time. Why can't you go peacefully. It is like who got the money can win whether you win you or lose. Be a big a boy and got get your milk. I don't know why you got so much issue with this election. Maybe you have something in Washington you don't want to lose?

    Hey Norm
After this is over and it has been determined that you have lost (again) then will you go away?
To all you Franken haters – stop being a Rush Limpballs/Sean Handnity sock puppet for a day and use the brains your maker gave you!
Try reading one of his books – he uses some really big words and speaks/writes in paragraphs but even so I'm sure a couple of you could muddle through it.

Al won. It is over. Coleman is a loser and he is making the GOP look like a bunch of cry-babies.

My impression of Minnesota is a good one, but this is a blemish on their state. Coleman is a pud.

Fred, How do you consider Al Frankin a loser when HE won??Colman is acting like a child because HE didn't want the recount and told Frankin to let it go...so what happened to the letting go stuff on Coleman's end??? Frankin isn't a wanna be star-if you've listened to him over the past 4-8 years he's quite brilliant.

Coleman has the money and he thinks he should win. So if he got that much money and think he got the power then hey, he is buying his way and not being elected. That is what is wrong with this system people the good of boy with money gets the job. There should be a hearing that restrict Coleman from being so fool and taking this to another level. If you win by having the most money, I hope you want get elected again. Sore loser.

Where were you libs when Franken sued. My, how quite you were! Let this play out in the courts. No one won anything and no one has been certified! A winner will soon be determined! Just chill out! If this shoe were on the other foot, you would want this to proceed! Why do you want to have it both ways?

Let's see more votes counted than people who voted...

This does bring up questions! Unless you are a Franken supporter!
