Geithner sworn in as Treasury Secretary

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden swore in Timothy Geithner as the nation's next Treasury Secretary as President Obama looked on Monday evening.

CRAZY,,, SIMPLY CRAZY. How can a man who failed ot pay his own taxes, and then come up with every lame excuse to the reason why,,, be appointed to run the IRS.
Yea,, change we can believe in,, put a tax cheat in office.....

I decided t give Obama the benifit of the doubt after the election. He hath lost what little faith I had now. This man is a criminal plain and simple. A man here was just convicted 2 days ago for much less and stands to have 2 years and $100,000 in fines a s maximum sentence.

Mr President – I'm disappointment in this appointment (the only one so far) – it sends a wrong message – I don't understand your confidence in him. I liken it to leaving the fox in charge of the hen house.
Didn't the VP say it was our Patriotic duty to pay taxes? They are all hypocrits. Our new "brainiac" won't pay his taxes, take the money he was given to pay the taxes and blow it, and now he is in charge of our money! Hope...Change...the only thing that is changing is the weather and I hope it doesn't rain!
This guy will be THE FALL GUY.

This is outrageous. If an IRS agent has issues with not paying taxes, they loose their job. What do we do? Appoint someone who failed to pay taxes as the head of the IRS. You cannot tell me that he was the only person qualified to run the Treasury. Larry Summers has the qualifications along with a few others. In the past, Congress has kicked appointments out the door on the first day for lesser issues.

Wow, what a change from the songs of praise for Obama leading up to his election! As someone who unfortunately doesn't get to vote in your elections (but has to endure the consequences), and watched in frustration as you re-elected George W. and then threw Hillary under a bus, I have to ask – why don't you ask questions and demand answers BEFORE you cast your votes?! Nothing happening now comes as a surprise to people who actually looked closely at the candidates over the last year rather than simply following the word of Oprah!
