Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Once again Rush Limbaugh has proven you can have a career after drugs. You would think he would have learned his lesson by now about being on the wrong side of progress. I guess not!!!

The truth is that Obama shouldn't give a pathetic hot airbag like Limbaugh an issue to cackle about. Obama should attack Republican leaders head on.

The weird thing is that anyone would listen to this drug-addicted pig. Since he and his listeners want the US to fail, I would call them traitors, plain and simple.

Rush Limbaugh is a bigot and a moron. He needs to keep his narrow-minded, self-aborbed mouth shut. The only people that want Obama to fail are the people that aren't and will not be affected by this international economic crisis. It's easy to criticize and play petty games when you are sitting atop your perch.

It's very frightening to know how stupid you (Limbaugh) are, and how many people get infected with your stupidity.
What else could be he frightened of about you? the worst in your closet is your KKK white robe.

Yes he is because you're such a moron and that so many people are dumb enough to believe you.

Listen to what Limbaugh is saying, it doesn't even make sense. He is the one who said Obama would fail but yet he says that Obama is afraid of him and won't work to get things done. Limbaugh go away you are a joke and nobody should listen to you regardless of who the president is. One last thought, is Limbaugh trying to get people not to work together so he can say 'see Obama failed'????

Why is this "political shock jock" being given a forum to spread his garbage. CNN is just giving him free publicity to sell more advertising during his airtime.

Rush Limbaugh and Anne Coulter should get together. What a charming pair they would make. My greatest fantasy would be shipping them off to some other planet. Narcissists unite. Both qualify as the rudest, sadest cases for human beings. I am tired of hearing them whine about this and that. Rush should realize that Obama does not have a moment to be frightened of him. Why would anyone consider him worth worry and concern? Believe it or not, "Rush, you are not the center of Obama's universe". Now jump on that rocket to another planet (with Anne) and go...preferably as soon as possible.

    Ha! I don't think so.

Who would be afraid of a bag of wind like Limbaugh? He makes his money just stirring up the uneducated red neck unfortunates.

He is NOT a unifier. He is dividing and trying to conquer. Rush Limbaugh is a private citizen who is being targeted just like what happened to Joe the plumber and others who disagree with President Obama. This is not going to work and will backfire rapidly.

Limbaugh is a self-centered narcistic jerk. Obama is no more afraid of his rantings than I am. He is making money off the bigotry of the right and laughing all the way to the bank. Of course his recent comments make me wonder if he is doing drugs AGAIN!

I don't know whether to laugh or roll my eyes. What a blowhard. Myself, I think it's a ploy on Limbaugh's part to seem relevant, but I'm cynical that way.

Does anyone really listen to him/believe him anymore?

Regardless, let it go. Move on. Get a life. Or, at least, a grip on reality.

Limbaugh hang it up! Obama took the Electorial Vote plus the Popular Vote. All those people at the swearing in, balls etc. Face up to it. He is very popular. Maybe you need a vacation to Alaska with that other sharp tongued person called Palin! And remember what goes around comes around so I'd be careful of your mouth. You are conservative but also a RADICAL!

No one is afraid of Rush, least of all Obama. I understand being conservative, but Limbaugh is just arrogant and annoying. I can't believe people actually listen to him.
