Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

No doubt. Obama is afraid of his shadow. What a lightweight!

    Dear Rush,

I am sure your alcohol and drug addled delusions are all very real to you. Why don't you go have another drink, pop another pill and shove a couple dozen more twinkies into your fat mouth.

Most living creatures dread Limbaugh opening his mouth....fearing they may be eaten.

As far as finding him a threat in any other aspect...Limbaugh is a bufoon and clearly he and Blago have delusions of grandeur in common.

Glad to see all of the lunatics come out of the wood work from the right and left sides of the country. Rush is a drugged up buffoon, problem is so are most of the people in this country. Anyone wants to see the true failure of this country all they have to do is look in the mirror. The problem isn't Rush or Obama, it's the American people for being blind to what is going on in this country. If you can, imagine what the world will be like in 1000 years, bet you can't. WE ARE ALL SO SELF ABSORBED WE CANNOT SEE 10 YEARS AHEAD. The end is near. Thank god we can turn the lights out on this disaster.

Limbaugh told his sheep that he had "carried water for people who didn't deserve it" and they never figured out that that reflected on Limbaugh's truthfulness and their gullibility.

I'll have to find Limbaugh's exact words on the ideas that he wants the new president to fail and that Obama is afraid of him before I judge on those. From what some people who apparently listened have posted, Limbaugh just wants the policies he doesn't agree with to fail. If this is the case, everyone here getting mad shares the exact same opinion: you want policies you don't like to fail. In any case, whatever he meant, there isn't any need to insult him and wish terrible things onto him. All that does is make you look two or three times as immature and hate-filled as you claim he is, and that discredits you.
No need to post all the hate, people. You can disagree with someone and think they went too far without the hate.

you have got to be the most dillusional being i have had the displeasure to hear....you are the main reason i do not listen to public radio, it has proven to be nothing but a money maker for the stations who employee people of your caliber, a pontificating blowhard who is rewarded for your bad behavior and trash talk. obama afraid of you, indeed, what is there to fear? a fat , cigar smoking loud mouth who believes his own drivel; please, keep smoking that nasty cigar and let it do its job...

Anna Smith you and Rush are made of the same cloth.Racist bigots. You both are unpatriotic.. And those that try to defend the pill popping Limbugh he clearly said that he hopes Obama fails and did not say his policies fails.Ann Smith you commented before that you don't like Obama and will never like him....Changing your name with you comments doesn't help your ignorance about a sitting president and now to you Walter just because he have 20 million listners doesn't mean they like him it only means that they like listening to him making a fool out hisself...Oh and Tom the Obama voters didn't run Bush out of town I think his administration and the republican party did a fine job of that themselves even though his term was up ...but guess what I bet he's now living better off than you are and if by chance you do get a stimulus check since you seem to hate Obama so much let's see if maybe you can donate your share to charity or just return to sender because there are people that are more worthy of it than the likes of you all. Also let me be clear to all three of you including Rush..name calling or lack of confidence will not run PRESIDENT OBAMA anywhere so you can suck it up or go straight to H*ll

and one more thing, President Obama (I love writing that!) and the rest of us should ignore Rush, since he is completely irrelevant.

    One more thing,

The dreaded sociallist word. Why isn't it socialist to take so much money from Americans and give it to the military to spend? Why isn't some of that money going to the military being spent to deal with the war on you own country, the gangs that have taken over, for example, areas in and around L.A.? Is it socialist to take money to spend on public schools (not enough)? How about ensuring roadways are improved, infrastructure? Why is it so negative to have a medical system where citizens can be cared for, a system they can use and afford? Millitary spending is okay but spending on the health of one's people isn't? The whole capitalist system is obviously not working when selfish individuals care more for themselves than the good of anyone else – which is rather what Limbaugh is doing – trying to garner yet more attention by trying to undermine Obama. Perhaps labels such as socialism shouldn't be used at all and just good policies implemented that are for the good of society. How sad that such a promising country has been taken down by self absorbed individuals and where the appearance of having money was thought to be the height of success. The whole reverence thing ref. movie stars and famous people is another thing – Good God! If most people were paid a million dollars they could act. At the same time as the Oscars are being held there should be a split screen where those such as doctors who volunteer to help others or anyone doing such good works are named and a number listed for donations – acknowlegement for those who don't garner the attention movie stars do, but should. They should also receive more attention than someone such as Limbaugh.

Rush has not realized that he is completely irrelevant now and is grasping at straws. Wanting the president to fail, means we all fail.

"Rush Limbaugh : Largest talk show audience with 20 million listeners and growing!! How do you Libs explain that???"

In a nation of 300 million + where 15% of the population thinks Obama is somehow a Muslim, and 25% still supported Bush in the dying days of his awful presidency...it's pretty easy to explain.

Limbaugh is the one, constant, bright spot, in an otherwise Liberal,
Radical BHO Administration that is NOT getting off to a great start!

BHO doesn't need the first 100 days to ruin his next four years!
It has only taken LESS than a week!!!

Where is freedom of speech, Mr. Obama? Why bother if Limbaugh talks, unless, there are something truth to what the man is saying. This is America land of the free not of communism and dictatorship. Let everyone speak and express opinion.

Something is wrong with this man. Everything he has says is not only scary, but it's sickening. It's scary/sickening because of his reported following who blindly follow him – and those like him.

One of the 4 "loud, not ever letting their guests speak, only one side, nobody else's side is ever reported" reasons I don't watch F*x is because they keep conversing with him as if he's a reliable source, with credibility. Yet, we hear he takes suspicious trips outside the USA, to suspicious seedy juvelent locations. Oh, and he also not only did drugs, but wasn't he getting them illegally? Yet, he's still in the public eye, and he's free to roll about like Mr hot biscuit (didn't he get caught multiple times? wow, in my neighborhood you end up in jail for that).

I didn't vote for Bush, but I sure as heck didn't pray that he failed. what kind of person would want the leader of your country to fail? If your leaders fail, how do you benefit? How does your family, neighbors, friends, etc benefit from that failure???

This man has a suspicious way about him. You see it when he's filling up your screen. And I have a big TV. Now that's scary!!!

Calm down people... Limbaugh meant that Obama is afraid of him because he is one of the few in the media and politics who is willing to oppose Obama's decisions and opinions.

It's amazing how few seem to understand the meaning of context today... I suppose ignorance and immaturity is in.
