Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

You have to admit that was childish of Obama to say that.... makes everyone stand up and pay attention as to what was said...but if its the truth keep it comming we want to hear all sides

What's with the bickering and vitriol? Obama-voters, you won, what do you care what some guy on the radio says? Stop hating on conservatives and show us how to run a peaceful loving planet already!

I'm trying to remember if Bush called out any particular commentators on the Left. Nope, I don't remember it. I guess none of them really mattered enough. Not even Franken, who resorted to calling Rush a "Big Fat Liar". Looking at some of the earlier posts it looks like name-calling from the Left might be either a debate technique or just evidence of a lack of a cohesive argument. In any case, Rush ought to take it as a compliment (I am sure he does) because it's not every day that the president calls attention to an individual citizen. Heck, Obama should be buttering Rush up, after-all he is going to need Rush to make as much money as he possibly can so that the effects of Obama's tax increases on people in Rush's income level will be realized in increased revenue. Afterwards will Obama thank Rush and his fellow-rich guys for their "Patriotism" and "Sacrifices" that PAY for Obama's so-called bailouts and stimulus packages?? I doubt it. Remember, if you get all of your withholding returned to you in the form of a teax refund, that means you didn't pay any taxes. If you get all of your withholding back AND receive a check from Obama that means you are on welfare. Enjoy it while the rest of us pay for your personal bailout. Don't complain about us.

I am so tired of hearing so much hatred towards the GOP. Anything said that doesn't agree with the Democratic agenda is called "hate speech" or "ignorance." One of the joys of living in America is being able to have your own opinion and express it...now it seems that you can only share your opinion if you're a Democrat.

I just LOVE how CNN doesn't open up for comments to the story about the new treasury secretary was sworn in today – you know – the guy who's gonna run the IRS – the guy who hasn't paid taxes in YEARS!!! How in the world can the mainstream media and the President ignore this? Can anyone – ANYONE? explain this? If this were a republican – the nomination wouldn't have lasted 1 day. This goes to show what kind of ObamaNation we're in for..

Rush Limbaugh is just a flat out racist. Why give this guy a platform? Anyone who would listen to this garbage clearly needs to look themselves in the mirror.

If Rush really wants our President to fail at this point in history where the very future of our country depends on the President's success, what does that say about Rush? Aside from the fact that he is a pompous blowjhard, of course. It says that he is an unforgiveable traitor, and no fate will be too awful for him.

And mark my words, he will suffer an awful fate one of the these days. i only hope I'm here to witness it.

How many people on here who criticize Limbaugh for his choice of words about Obama were fine with left-wing talk show hosts bashing Bush? It works both ways, both are disgusting but each said only calls each other out on it. Fix yourself first before you throw the first stone.

    Dear Rush,

As a member of the GOP I can only say that you are an out of touch cynical old man. I could go on and on with your short comings, but in stead, I will simply change the button on the radio and you are gone. I do not have to hope you will fail, that’s a given. I do not blame our party for the mess we are in but we are in one. Your desire to see someone fail is a self serving hypocritical thing to say. Your not a thinker, your an entertainer and like any lame radio show, you will fade away in time. While I have not liked the Democratic Party, and have paid millions in taxes, I would like to see the new president succeed in his endeavors even at the expense of saying I was wrong. I voted for John Mc Cain. If for some reason and the chances are good that President Obama does fail, it won’t be because you’re some brilliant clairvoyant. Find a new job, maybe you could provide a real service to our nation. Get off your big butt and pitch in.

Limbaugh's lunatic rants are the result of way too much drug abuse, even if it perscription drugs. His biggest problem is that he killed most of his few brain cells. Maybe 1 or 2 are left and are defective.

Pay no atteneion to this worthless piece of crap, and maybe he will evaporate into nothingness, where he belongs!!!

He is just mean, venomous, toxic, and to be ignored.
