Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

To the poster who claims Limbaugh has 20 million viewers–can you prove that? I mean, it's radio...how can you count? Sounds nice, and I'm sure conservatives love to think they exist in these huge numbers, but where were they in November? Not voting for Ms.Conservative"Real America" and Mr. Healthy Economy, were they? Now they can't wait to bash the new guys before they've had a week in office.
But hey, have your fun while Obama works for all Americans, which is more than your hero GW ever did.

I suspect that Rush will earn a place in history. Right next to Spiro Agnew. I suppose that Rush will be proud of that comparison.
Such a sad, sad man. We should pity him and then forget about him.

Oh, yeah. I'd like to see Obama go three rounds with Rush. There wouldn't be anything left to pick up. Obama could mop the floor with Rush and still have plenty left to take down that other loofah-loving, bloviating gas bag, O'Reilly. Yeah, I'd pay for view BIG TIME to see that.

Obama is frightened of Ann Coulter, however, because out of the three of them on the card, she's the only one with XX chromosomes. She's diesel, that one. Hannity can wear a bikini and hold up the round cards, since he's too nelly to actually get in the ring.

Rush is attempting to imply that Obama can't be a unifier and usher in a spirit of bipartisanship, but if he can't it won't be by any fault of Obama's. He has gone out of his way to reach out to republicans, however bipatisanship is a two way street. You can't be disagreeable and then get mad because someone is unable to force you into acting reasonable. Like Obama said it's time to be a man and put away childish things. I guess people like Rush wouldn't know anything about that.

Limbaugh's audience is larger than the fan base of Congress so his politics must be closer to the center of American ideology. If you still think that Clinton was a good president, you'll love Obama. For those that know the truth about Clinton, take heed and watch out for Obama. And Bill . . . IS means IS . . . unless you're a pathological liar!

Nancy asked what kind of American wants their President to Fail – the HateBush years should answer that one.

Tom, you give no argument as to why us voters for Obama are racists. So you're saying that 53% of the American people are racists?

People who keep throwing stones at Obama with no facts to back it up, are just another example of the King with no clothes. You spew your hatred of the man and those who would vote for him, and have nothing to back your hatred but false accusations.

Please, go buy some books and start reading, and not just those written by Rush.

Someone please exile Rush and Blah-blah-go up to Little Diomede, that island in Alaska that 'on a clear day, you can see Russia' and make Palin go out there so they can see which one out-spews the other. It will be the War of the Narcissists! Confine them all on that island with a 'border fence' and just give them three karioke machines with mics. And please, please, no media allowed because I don't ever want to see these three egomanics in the news ever again!

Why would Obama be afraid of some drug addict?

Just WHY would Obama be afraid of Rush Limbaugh?

I can't think of a single reason. With all the real threats in this world, Rush Limbaugh would be the least of his problems.

    walter...

Very easy. There are a lot of disenfranchised people in this country who want to blame someone else for what is happening to them.
Rush is there to vilify others for them.

Now, the drug-addled idiot can claim to have the President on the run! Wow, isn't he cool? Maybe the right wingers were right...maybe Obama should have left Gitmo open.

I think it's important to note that Rush has never solved anything or contributed in any positive way (except to his pocket). Nor is he paid to do so. He is paid to pontificate without debate. And he has a lot more to do. He recently signed an 8 year $400 MILLION contract. He knows what side his bread is buttered on. It must be sweet revenge for someone who wasn't much liked as a child, has never had a lot of friends, 3 failed marriages and couldn't hold a job until this gig. A lot of anger just under the skin.
