Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”
“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”
Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.
"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Poor Rush. Is that all he has?
I'm trying to figure out why Obama would be frightened of Limbaugh. Rush spent 2 years slagging off Obama to his listeners, yet Obama still won. So why would he fear Limbaugh now?
Rush seems to like to spin things with himself at the center.

To the people that say he has 20 million listeners and this proves a wide margin of people believe what he says I say your argument is fatally flawed. You could also say that 20 million listen to him BECAUSE he is an idiot not because they believe him. Its like BillO, good entertainment because they are so crazy. Hence they dont listen to him because they believe him but because his idiocy is entertaining. Many other possibilities also exist, that is merely one.

Obama doesn't NEED Rush's stamp of approval, and his legislative decisions can't be controlled by Rush. So, what has Obama to fear from this little man with the ginormous ego? NADA.

Oh please. Limbaugh is a fool, and he confirms that every time he opens his mouth to spew his vitrolic and distorted view of the world. I for one don't think that a bigoted and drug addicted college dropout has much to contribute to our political dialogue. His oversimplification of issues, adherence to blind ideology, and transparent attempts to paint people who don't agree with him as villains, all appeals to the basest instincts of those in society who can't think for themselves.

Surely you must see that if Obama's plan fails, then the economy doesn't get better, it gets worse. If the economy gets worse, then you and I would be that much more likely to lose our job, or perhaps lose our house (not me, I own outright).
So hoping Obama's policy's fail *is* hoping that the economy fails. I can certainly see where he would say that he thinks they won't work; that instead Obama should do this or that. That's all fine. But hoping that Obama's plans fail means that the economy gets no better, only worse.
I'd say Rush is quickly becoming irrelevant and we're hopefully moving on to a new age of bipartisanship and constructive dialogue not just knee jerk from-the-hip bickering, for the sake of bickering.
Not sure we can make it happen though. Hopefully we could all grow up and focus on sensible dialogue on the issues, not childish attacks on people.
